the girls and i are all sat around the living area talking about our lives outside the house. one by one they all talk about their relationships, apart from bev and i. well, sort of hev.
"i've been having this little thing with this guy but i dunno if it's going anywhere. last thing i want right now is a boy on my mind."
"what about you elana?" america wiggles her eyebrows
"oh.. yeah nothing right now. i'm open to it obviously but there just hasn't been a guy." i say fiddling with my fingers slightly.
"oh that's such bull!" shelen exclaims
my eyes widen at her sudden comment. "what do you mean?"
" 'what can i call you? lana.' oh he wants it and you know it too." she claps her hands together
"what mik- tays?" i stumble my words
"point proven, you guys have cute little nicknames with each other." she waves her hands proudly of herself.
"wait do you guys hear that?" adeola asks placing her finger up for silence.
"is that the boys?" mia asks in confusion, "where are they?"
we all line ourselves up standing on the sofa, listening in on the boys' conversation. obviously trying to be slick about it all.
"are they in the bathroom." mia says in her posh accent
"surely not." i reply
"no no girls room. they're in the girls room" america repeats herself
"should we eavesdrop upstairs?" i ask slowly getting off the sofa but before i could even step off they all bolt it upstairs making me jog up behind.
we all sneaky walk up to the girls room. hiding behind the wall. i see mia laying on the floor. perfect fucking time! i jump onto mia's back making her whisper shout, "annie don't you dare!"
i hold my laughter, motioning to the girls to hear me, "pile on!" without a thought one by one the girls jump on our backs. we hear a few words being said before we heard footsteps getting closer and closer. all of us scramble off one another. realising it's too late to walk off we try to play it off by looking around the room from the staircase.
"hey hey hey"
"what are you doing"
"what's going on here?"
they all call out
"woahhh"
"wow great view."
"i love it."
we all say playing it off
"oh my god you can see a literal meadow from here.. is that a sheep?" i say
"did you just say 'is that a sheep'" tays asks wandering his eyes to find the person who said it
"there literally is one i swear!" i raise my hands. in return, he smiles making my own deepen.
"come on annie, we're headed outside." mia grabs my hand leading me down the stairs
"but it's absolutely freezinggg" i moan following anyways.
the boys eventually join us in the outside seating area. i'm sat between hev and shelen, with my head rested on hev's shoulder in comfort.
