•~ו The Cafeteria •×~•

Ryker kept glancing at Leo, who was sitted at a table kept in an isolated area in the cafeteria.

"Ryker!... Ryker!!!"

"Huh?"

Ryker swiftly turned and met Sophia's questioning gaze. "What's wrong?.. Why are you distracted?.. Did you even hear a single word of what I said?.. What are you even looking at?". She followed Ryker's line of sight and spotted Leo sitting far away in the isolated area of the cafeteria, calmly eating his lunch.

"Sophia... Don't you also think.. Leo might have changed?" Ryker muttered, poking his lunch with his fork.

Sophia snorted, "Can't you see this another one of his schemes?!. He's very cunning and I bet this is another one of his plan to make people change their view of him and then strike! when no one is least expecting it".

Ryker smiled warily, "you're right Sophia. It's so silly of me to think that Leo would change overnight. I thought wrong".

Sophia smiled back, "It's ok, it's not your fault. I too almost got swayed by his fake 'changed' farcade but I was smart enough to see through it but never mind that now, Let's eat and stop talking about Leo ". Ryker nodded and digged in with Sophia following suit.

Leo, on the other hand, was calmly enjoying his lunch. Blue really took his time preparing all his favourite, Just like in his past life. Leo chewed his lunch absentmindedly, thinking about his past. He told himself not to think about the past, the past is the past and the present is present. None of those horrible events have happened yet and he still have enough time to change the course of event to prevent any of them from happening. But thinking about the past, It still hurts.

Leo scooped another portion of fried rice in his spoon and put it into his mouth, chewing calmly. Then a hiccup took a bad timing to come when Leo was about swallowing. The rice took a wrong turn in his oesophagus, causing him to cough vigorously. He hit his chest severally to stop it but it only got worse. He reached out to grab his glass of water but his trembling hands accidentally knocked it down, spilling the water down to the grass. "Shit" Leo cursed in his mind. He coughed and coughed, finding it difficult to breathe. He could hear murmurs filled in the cafeteria,

"Oh my goodness, Leo is choking!"

"Is he going to be okay?"

"What silly question is that?!! How can a choking person POSSIBLE BE OKAY??!!"

"Humph! Good for him! It's payback for all the evil deeds he has done!"

"Yeah, I hope he chokes to death!"

Leo could feel his vision getting blurry. His consciousness was slowly slipping away. "Tch! Given another chance to live to make amends of what I did in the past, only to die again by choking on rice?!!! Fuck! This is so embarrassing!!". Leo cursed in his mind.

When he thought he was about to meet his maker, he was suddenly wrapped by a pair of strong warm hands, "Here, have this!" The voice had a hint of panic mixed in it. A glass of water was placed on Leo's lips which he gulped down greedily. The coughing subsided and Leo finally calmed down.

He subconsciously leaned in on the warm body of his saviour, breathing weakly with his body trembling slightly. His body was naturally weak due to his sickness and this choking fit drained whatever little strength he had.
