Eesha's POV.
"Truth or Dare!" Karan announced.
Oh! That's what they meant! Relief flooded through me, followed quickly by excitement. I'd never been allowed to play at home—too undignified, according to Ma.
"Absolutely not," Dev said firmly, but I noticed everyone's eyes turning to me with hopeful expressions.
"Bhabhi..." Ananya sing-songed. "You've never played with siblings before, have you?"
I shook my head, trying not to show how much I wanted to try. But apparently my face gave me away because Karan let out a triumphant "Ha!"
"Look at her eyes!" Ira exclaimed. "She wants to play!"
"Please?" I turned to him, channeling my best Kiara-worthy pleading expression. "Just one game?"
I watched his resolve crumble in real-time, his stern expression softening as he looked at me. Oh! So that's how that works...
"The great Dev Singh Rajwansh," Veer mock-whispered, "defeated by puppy eyes."
The room erupted in cheers. Ira immediately dimmed the lights, leaving only the warm glow of the nightstand lamp casting everyone in soft gold. I watched, fascinated, as they all naturally settled into cozy positions on dev's bed—Veer with Ira nestled against his chest, Aryan with his head in Ananya's lap. Karan and Kiara claimed their comfort spots, and I felt Dev's arm settle behind me, not quite touching but definitely there.
Is this what family game nights are supposed to feel like? I wondered, watching them all laugh and joke. This warmth, this ease?
This is what I always dreamed having siblings would be like, I thought, warmth spreading through my chest.
"Ground rules!" Aryan announced. "Nothing inappropriate—"
"Boring!" Kiara interjected.
"Nothing that would scandalize our innocent bhabhi," he amended, winking at me.
"Nothing that requires leaving this room," Ira added.
"And anyone can pass if they're truly uncomfortable," Dev's voice rumbled beside me, his tone making it clear this was non-negotiable. "And......what happens in this room stays in this room."
"Spoilsport," Veer muttered, earning a sharp look from his elder brother that only made his grin widen.
"Already protecting bhabhi's secrets?" Kiara teased, but she nodded along with everyone else.
I felt my cheeks warm. "I don't have any secrets!"
The look Dev gave me then was almost... amused? "Everyone has secrets, Princess."
"Oh!" Kiara bounced up suddenly. "We need a bottle!" She snatched an empty water bottle from the nightstand.
"Now then," Karan's smile turned wicked as he sat forward. "Who's first?"
The bottle spun, and I held my breath as it slowed... and pointed at Veer.
"Truth or dare, big brother?" Kiara's eyes sparkled.
"Truth"
"Tell us," Kiara leaned forward eagerly, "about the first time you tried to kiss Ira bhabhi."
I watched in fascination as Veer's usual confident smirk turned sheepish. "Well..."
"Oh god," Ira buried her face in his shoulder, but I could see her grinning.
