Few weeks later
"Joe?....Joe?" I feel a push against my side
"Joe! Get up dammit!" I slowly open my eyes groaning a little letting my eyes adjust seeing nick right infront of me
"Finally!" Nick sighs as I look at him confused not fully understanding what's going on
"Dude do you realise what time it is now? Everyone's been trying to call you!!! We were so fucking worried" I grab my phone and check the time
5:15pm
I look around grasping everything until I find the words to speak
"Nick I-" he cuts me off "Save it joe! What the hell has gotten into you man?" He throws his hands up
"I thought things were getting better! Your kids are coming tomorrow, you need to fix yourself"
My eyes widen as I realise that they are coming tomorrow
"Shit shit shit nick- I'm so sorry I didn't know I lost track of time-"
"Oh yeah? By drinking yourself to sleep?" He scoffs looking around the room filled with empty bottles
....
"Just get dressed and check ur damn messages" he says slamming the door
Shit what did I do..
I get up and get dressed for the day cleaning all the empty bottles and throwing them in the trash
*Phone vibrates*
I turn around and grab my phone not even caring to look who it is and swipe to answer
"Hello?" I ask
"Joe?" I recognise that voice.. "Soph.."
"Is it okay if I drop the kids off tonight instead of tomorrow? I really need to get this photoshoot done and they are killing me" she says
I froze and take a quick glance around my apartment knowing I'm in no shape at all to be ready for them
"Uh yeah yeah what time?" I ask
"Is 7pm okay? Just as soon as possible" she sighs
I hold my phone away from my ear and check the time
6:29pm
I curse to myself but not loud enough for Sophie to hear me
"Yeah that's fine just drop them off and I'll be there"
"Same place?" She asks
"Same place" I repeat licking my lips
*she hangs up*
I put my phone down to the side and rush around cleaning everything in sight making sure basically everything is kid/baby proof..
30 minutes later
Knock knock
"COMING" I shout
Rushing out of the bedroom I open the door my eyes wondering straight to Willa
"Daddy!!!!!" Willa squeals opening her arms
