"What?!" I yelled, trying to find some cover from gunfire.

"I should have told your parents, or you for that fact, but I'm head of the Ruby Royals. This is your new life, angel." Artemis said, firing back at the intruders.

"We'll deal with that later! Give me a gun!" I yelled, holding my hand out as she slapped a fully loaded hand pistol in my hand. Gosh was that hot...

We managed to hold most of them off until more gang members arrived to take care of the rest. Artemis handed out fat stacks of cash to all the guests in exchange for their silence. Everyone left soon after, ruining the reception part of the wedding. To be honest, I wasn't looking forward to it anyways. Though I act very social, I hate being around people. It's weird, but I don't question it as it helps me at my job.

Artemis placed her hand on the small of my back and led me to an all-black car with heavily tinted windows. She sat me down and climbed in beside me.

"You have some explaining to do." I huffed.

"Look, angel, not now OK? I have to make some calls..." Artemis seemed pissed, so I made the safe decision and stayed quiet as she made a few calls in about three different languages. I heard French, Spanish, and English, the last one being the only conversation I understood.

"Look, Zander, I don't care what happened, I care who the hell let it happen." Artemis spat into the receiver. I shuddered, feeling bad for this 'Zander' guy.

I heard a muffled response before Artemis muttered some French under her breath and hung up. "I'm sorry, angel, this wasn't supposed to happen..."

"If I may ask," I said hesitantly. "What do you mean by you're the 'most dangerous woman on Earth?'"

Artemis chuckled softly. "Well, darling, I'm head of the Ruby Royals."

"I thought the head was male?" I asked.

"Technically, the head is anonymous." Artemis said. "But I can prove it's me."

"Ok.... Prove it."

I didn't know what I was expecting, but the tattoo of a jewel rose was not that. I inspected it closely and, sure enough, it was exactly the way all the captured members described it during questioning. I didn't realize I was staring until her used her other hand to lift my chin.

"Angel?"

I blushed deeply. "Sorry.... Wait so if we're married now, that means.... Oh no...."

"What? Is something wrong, love?" Artemis asked, sensing my disappointment.

"This ain't good for my job, I'm captain of my station! I'm so going to be fired if the chief finds out..."

"Don't worry, love, we'll find something out." Artemis reassured me, brushing some loose hair behind my ear.

She suddenly smirked. "I do believe you own me something though, mon ange."

I gave her a confused look before the realization hit me. "We never shared our kiss did we?"

"Nope." Artemis said before smashing our lips together in a heated kiss. I quickly kissed back, letting her take over.

--------------------------------time skip, Giselle's POV----------------------------

We had just arrived at my house and I had insisted on carrying Kora through my door. I gently held her bridal style as we walked in and smiled softly at the look on her face.

"Like it?" I asked softly.

She gave me a small nod as she stared at my home's tall ceilings and many rooms. I carried her up a large, winding staircase and down a hall to our bedroom. The bedroom was large and had tall windows on one wall that allowed us to see the woods outside our home. The walls were a pretty light brown and the curtains were a pale cream color. The flooring was wood with a fluffy rug under the bed. The bed was a California King and it had off-white and light grey sheets on it. There were nightstands on either side of the bed and a fireplace across from the foot of the bed. Large bookcases sat on one side of the fireplace and two armchairs sat near it.

I set her on the edge of the bed and walked over to light the fireplace. "Welcome to your new home, love."
