Becky confirmed one thing: Freen's father wasn't lying. Their stories matched perfectly. Now, she just had to find out who wrote that damned letter. That's why she called her best friends.
"This is a messed-up situation," Friend said, sinking into the couch. They were all gathered at Friend's apartment since Freen's father was staying at Becky's place, making it impossible to plan there.
"Yup. Seng is Freen's best friend, and his own father did this," Becky said, frustration evident. She had no idea what to do next.
"Do you think Seng knows about it?" Nop asked.
"I don't know. It doesn't seem like it. Seng really cares about Freen," Irin pointed out.
"But we can't trust anyone in this situation, Irin," Becky said firmly. "Should I tell Freen about her father?"
"Come on, Becky. Freen hates him so much—she won't listen to a word from him," Friend reminded her.
Becky rubbed her temples in frustration. "Here's what we'll do instead," she said, grabbing everyone's attention. "We'll find proof of Wichai's illegal activities. Once we have that, we can prove Freen's father is telling the truth."
"But how are we supposed to find that proof?" Nop asked skeptically.
"I know someone," Engfa said quietly. Everyone turned toward her, their eyes wide.
"Who, Engfa?" Becky asked, curious.
Engfa smirked, an almost sinister expression on her face. "You'll see."
......
TWO DAYS LATER...
"You've got to be kidding me," Becky muttered, staring at the person in front of her.
"Nice to see you too, Becca," the man said with a smirk. "Never thought you'd come to me for help." He chuckled.
"Shut the fuck up, Saint," Becky snapped, clearly annoyed.
Engfa sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose. "Guys, now is not the time for your rivalry. Can you both act like adults for once?" she scolded. "You've grown up; leave the childish nonsense behind."
Becky scoffed. "He always pisses me off. He's the one who broke my favorite pencil," she said, crossing her arms.
"Oh, come on, Bec! I apologized for that a million times!" Saint said, sounding exasperated.
"Whatever," Becky muttered, looking away.
"GUYS, SHUT UP!" Engfa shouted, making everyone flinch. "You can settle this later. We have more important things to focus on."
Becky and Saint nodded begrudgingly.
"So, why did you call me?" Saint asked, finally getting serious.
Engfa explained everything. His eyes widened in shock as he listened.
"So, you want me to hack into Wichai's hotel systems?" he asked.
Engfa nodded. "You and Becky can handle this together."
Both nodded, knowing they couldn't do this alone. Becky and Saint had been learning hacking since they were kids, and this was finally their chance to put it to use.
"You're still not into Freen, right?" Becky asked, giving Saint a hard look.
He chuckled. "No, Becky. She's not my type. I only stayed close to her to piss you off."
