One moment I was listening to music with my dad and sister laughing happily...

The next was a blinding flash as a truck collided with our vehicle with a deafening crash, metal crumpling, and glass shattering under the force.

My world spun violently as the car was hurled backwards, flipping several times before coming to a jarring halt. Everything going black...

When I finally regained consciousness, my head was throbbing, and I felt a warm, sticky, and painful sensation on my forehead. My vision was blurry, but as it began to clear, I saw the chaotic scene around me.

The car was a mangled wreck, smoke rising from the crumpled hood. I abruptly turned to my right where my sister had been sitting on and saw her slumped in her seat, her eyes closed and face pale.

Panic surged through me as I reached over, shaking I shoulders desperately. Sis... Sis!...

"Wake up! Please, wake up!" I cried, but there was no response. Her body remained limp, unresponsive to my frantic attempts.

I then turned to my father, who was slouched over the steering wheel, motionless. My hands trembled as I touched my father's shoulder, trying to wake him up. "Daddy, please! You have to wake up!" I pleaded, tears streaming down my face. But there was no sign of life, no movement, no response.

Desperation and fear gripped me as I continued to shake them both, my cries growing louder and more frantic. "No, no, no! This can't be happening!" I sobbed, the reality of the situation crashing down on me.

The pain in my head intensified, and I felt my strength fading. Blood trickled down my face, the loss of it making me feel weak and dizzy.

My vision started to fade again, the world around me becoming a blur of colors and sounds. I could faintly hear distant sirens approaching, but they felt too far away, too late.

My tears mixed with the blood on my face as I whispered one last plea for help before I passed out into the darkness once more.

When I woke up, I found myself in a sterile hospital room, the beeping of machines and the scent of antiseptic filling the air. My body ached all over, and my head was wrapped in bandages. My mother was sitting beside my bed, her face pale and corners of her eyes red.

She slowly took my hand gently and said in a trembling voice, "Sweetheart, I have some terrible news." I could see the pain in her eyes, the heartbreak, and I knew that whatever she was about to say would change my life forever.

It changed the moment her words struck me like a brick to the head not believing it. I cried day and night, mourning relentlessly until the day of the funeral arrived. On that day, I felt numb and detached as I watched the workers bury the casket of my father and sister. But after the funeral mother, thought it was best to move to a new city for a new start.

Four years had passed, and we were forced to move to a new city again due to uncertain circumstances. It was a challenging time, but it did present some unexpected opportunities for me.

In the first year of middle school, I crossed paths with Hunter, something about us just clicked that both of us hadn't quite put our finger on yet resulting in our unbreakable bond.

As we navigated the trials of adolescence together, I also met two other friends when I turned thirteen: Hayley, and Zachry, whose bond was unbreakable just like ours.

The months turned into another year, a new chapter unfolded in Hunter's life. Hunter found his love interest, Evalyne, and they shared a strong connection eventually ending up dating. At the same time, we met Gale whom had became good friends with Hayley.

Together, we created a close group that supported one another through the challenges of our teenage years.

But something about my instincts told me that these would all end very soon.
