Kim entered the kindergarten, scanning the surroundings for any potential threats. Bunch of kids everywhere, making noise, jumping, running, laughing... God Kim wanted to get out of there already. He still could not believe that no one else was free to come pick up Venice that day.
Kim, too late, realized that he was probably tricked. How could literally not a single person be available to come pick Venice up from the kindergarten? Vegas and Pete have a whole house packed with bodyguards, every single one of them would immediately drop anything they would be doing so they could help, especially if it would be something regarding Venice.
Kim sighed but since he was there he would finish his mission. He started to look for Venice, not seeing him anywhere.
"Hi," some little boy stopped next to Kim. Wrong boy. Not Venice so Kim decided to ignore him, hoping he would just go away.
"Hello," the boy tugged on Kim's sleeve to get his attention. Kim reminded himself that killing a child is quite frowned upon... and also that he was not an asshole who would do something like that.
"What?" Kim looked down at the boy, trying to look as scary and intimidating as possible. Sadly, kids for whatever reason don't pick up on Kim's scary body language, Venice never did either, but Kim presumed that because the boy is Theerapanyakun, but apparently all kids lack a basic level of self preservation.
"Could you help me?" the boys asked, still holding onto Kim's sleeve.
"No."
"My shoelace got all tangled when I was trying to tie it," The boy lifted his leg to show Kim the mess of a shoelace there.
Kim nodded, to let the boy know he saw it and then focused back on searching for his nephew. "Go away," he waved his hand to shoo the child away.
"Pleeeease Phi..." the boy tugged on Kim's sleeve again.
"Why me?" Kim rolled his eyes and looked back at the boy.
"Because you look like you know how to tie a shoelace."
"Of course I know how to tie a shoelace!" Kim snapped, offended by the possibility of the kid thinking Kim didn't know how to do that.
"Prove it," the boy dared him and Kim was torn between telling the boy to get lost, which might suggest that he might not know how to tie a shoelace and helping the boy with his little issue and prove to him that he is fully capable of tying a shoelace.
"You little shit," Kim thought, maybe a bit impressed, while dropping down on one knee to get on the kid's level.
"Lift your leg," Kim grumped and offered no help whatsoever with helping the boy with a balance while the kid lifted his leg. The boy placed his hands on Kim's shoulder and arm to not topple over.
"Your jacket looks really cool," the boy noted while Kim was trying to untie the mess the boy made on his shoelace.
"I know."
"You look like a rockstar."
"I am," Ok, maybe a rockstar was a bit strong, but the kid didn't need to know that, did he? "Stay still," he added when the boy kept wiggling, having issues while standing on just one leg.
"I am trying," the boy said.
"Don't try. Do it. Just stay still."
"Uncle Kim!" Venice ran up to them and jumped on Kim, hugging him, point blank taking advantage of Kim being unable to do anything but accept the hug.
"Hey," Kim muttered when he finally undid all the knots on the shoelace, while thinking that kids should not be allowed to wear shoes until they reach an age where they will not manage to tangle the shoelaces like that.
