Meera's POV

I could feel the shift in Adhyay beside me the moment Kaka sa's question landed in the air. For a split second, everything around us seemed to freeze.

Honeymoon?

Really?

My cheeks warmed instantly, a mix of surprise and embarrassment rushing through me. I looked up at Adhyay just in time to see him choke slightly, his posture stiffening like he'd been completely caught off guard.

The entire room burst into laughter.

And somehow, that only made it worse.

I could feel the heat rising in my face, my fingers curling slightly in my lap as I tried to compose myself. Being put on the spot like this—in front of everyone—was overwhelming... but at the same time, I couldn't ignore what I was seeing beside me.

Adhyay.

Flustered.

Completely thrown off.

His eyes flickered toward me for a second, almost as if checking whether I was surviving this just as poorly as he was.

And for some reason... that made it easier.

Because I wasn't alone in it.

It wasn't like we hadn't thought about it. Or that the idea hadn't crossed our minds somewhere in the middle of all this change.

But hearing it said out loud, in front of his entire family?

That was a different level altogether.

I pressed my lips together, trying to stay composed... but the moment I heard him struggle to answer—

"Kaka sa, abhi toh hum... adjust kar rahe hain thoda,"
(Kaka sa, right now we're just... adjusting a bit.)

—that was it.

I almost laughed.

I quickly looked down, pretending to fix my dupatta, but my shoulders betrayed me, shaking slightly.

I leaned a little closer to him, lowering my voice just enough so only he could hear.

"Mr. CEO," I whispered, barely holding it in,
"yeh meeting aapke control ke bahar jaa rahi hai."
(This meeting is going out of your control.)

He shot me a look.

Sharp. Warning.

Which only made it worse.

I bit my lip harder, trying to stop... I really did.

But then Kaka sa continued, and the teasing only escalated.

And suddenly, I found myself enjoying this.

Just a little.

When I finally spoke, my tone was calm—far calmer than I felt.

"Kaka sa," I said sweetly, "plan toh hai..."
(Kaka sa, we do have a plan...)

I didn't look at Adhyay immediately.

But I could feel his attention snap toward me.

Oh, this was fun.

"Bas," I added, finally glancing at him with a small smile,
"Adhyay ji ko calendar check karna hai."
(Just... Adhyay needs to check his calendar.)

Silence.

Then laughter.

Loud.

Unstoppable.
