The air in the Shukla household was thick with unspoken emotions and lingering tension. As days turned into weeks,
Shehnaaz and Sidharth navigated their renewed partnership with careful optimism.
They were both committed to caring for Rita maa , and the old camaraderie between them began to resurface, softening the edges of their past hurt.

Yet, amidst the warmth of their rekindled bond, an undercurrent of tension simmered just beneath the surface—a truth that lingered in the shadows, waiting for the right moment to emerge.

One afternoon, Shehnaaz found herself alone with Aryan, her little boy, as they sat in the garden of the Shukla home.

The vibrant colors of blooming flowers danced around them, and Aryan laughed joyfully as he chased a butterfly fluttering nearby.
Shehnaaz watched him, her heart swelling with love and pride. Aryan was the light of her life, a perfect blend of her and Sidharth.
And yet, in her heart, there was a nagging fear—a secret that had festered since their return to India.

While Aryan was blissfully unaware of the complexities surrounding him,

Shehnaaz knew that the time was approaching when she would have to tell Sidharth the truth: that Aryan was not just her son, but his as well.

The revelation weighed heavily on her heart, an anchor that pulled her down into the depths of uncertainty.

Would Sidharth accept this new reality? Would he embrace his role as a father, or would it drive a wedge between them again?

As she sat in the sun-drenched garden, lost in her thoughts, Sidharth stepped outside, his expression contemplative. He approached her, a hint of a smile playing at the corners of his lips.
“Hey, what are you thinking about?” he asked, his voice warm and inviting.

“Just…life,” Shehnaaz replied, her voice steady but her heart racing.
“And how complicated it can be.”

Sidharth sat beside her, a frown creasing his brow. “I get that. It’s been a whirlwind for all of us, but I’m glad we’re working through it. We’re a team now, and I want to be there for you and for maa ”

Shehnaaz nodded, appreciating his commitment but feeling the weight of her secret pressing down on her.

“Sidharth, there’s something I need to tell you.”

Just as she was about to reveal the truth, Rita maa called out from inside, interrupting the moment. “Sidharth! Shehnaaz! Come inside! I have something important to discuss!”

Reluctantly, they stood and walked into the house, where Rita maa  was waiting for them, her face a mixture of excitement and concern. The moment was gone, and Shehnaaz felt the heaviness of her unspoken words settle back into her chest.

As they gathered in the living room, Rita maa  took a deep breath, looking between her son and Shehnaaz.

“I know this isn’t easy for both of you, but I’ve been thinking about the future.

I want to ensure that my family is united. For both of you ,for aryan . He deserves to grow up knowing he has a strong support system around him.”

The mention of Aryan made Shehnaaz’s heart race, and she shot Sidharth a quick glance. He seemed to sense her tension but remained focused on his mother .

“Mom, we’ve been doing our best to support you.

What are you getting at?” Sidharth asked, a hint of confusion crossing his features.

Ritu smiled gently. “I want us to be honest with each other.

Secrets can tear a family apart, and I believe that’s the last thing any of us wants. We need to come together as one.”
