THE LIGHT OF HER HEART
MY BELOVED MOTHER HAJIYA AISHA SALEH DANJA MAIDOKI
My mother's heart was filled with the love of Allah and His Qur'an. From the moment she opened her eyes each morning to when she rested at night, her lips would move in silent recitation, finding solace and strength in the words of her Creator. She often said, "The Qur'an is the light of my heart," and it truly guided every step of her life.
She didn't just love the Qur'an; she lived by it. Her devotion to Allah and His Messenger ﷺ was unwavering. Her prayers were a constant reminder of her unshakable faith. She made sure that her children understood the beauty of Islam, raising us with love, kindness, and the teachings of the Qur'an as her guide.
As a sister, she was a source of love and support for her siblings. Whether her brothers or sisters, she was always ready with a helping hand or a kind word, her presence lifting the spirits of all around her. Her love for family knew no limits, and she treated every member with care and attention.
Ya Allah wallahi I have never seen a good sister like her who is always ready to be there for her relatives.
To her husband, she was more than a wife she was his queen, his greatest supporter. Her patience and loyalty to him were beyond measure. No matter how difficult times became, she stood by his side, her strength and faith never wavering. She was a pillar of wisdom and calmness, always reminding him of Allah's mercy and guiding him through hardships with her firm trust in Allah's plan.
A Queen in Every Way
My mother was also a woman of immense compassion, always placing the needs of others before her own. Whether it was a neighbor in need, a friend seeking comfort, or a stranger who required help, she never hesitated. Her heart was large enough to embrace everyone. She would often say, "When we care for others, Allah cares for us," and she truly embodied this in her life.
Even while bearing the weight of the world, she never complained. Her patience was infinite, and her reliance on Allah was her constant source of strength. She saw every challenge as a test from Allah, every hardship as a means of growing closer to Him.
My mother's life was a testament to what it means to be a true Muslimah. She loved her children with a heart only a mother could have, served as a queen to her husband, and was a beacon of light to her family and the Muslim Ummah. Her legacy of faith, love, and selflessness will live on forever, and her story, like her spirit, will never truly end.
THE QUEEN OF QUEENS
"My mother is the true Queen of Queens, not for wealth or crowns, but for her unwavering faith, her love for the Qur'an, and her endless devotion to Allah, her family, and the Muslim Ummah. Her heart overflowed with kindness, her soul was anchored in patience, and her every action reflected the nobility of a righteous woman. She lived every day striving to please Allah and nurturing those around her with love and care."
Her life was one of service and sacrifice. She gave everything to her family, raising us with wisdom, love, and unwavering dedication. She nurtured our hearts with the Qur'an and guided our steps with her example. She was a source of strength for her siblings and a comfort to her friends and community. In every relationship, she was a true queen—graceful, compassionate, and noble.
What makes her even more precious to me is how much I love following in her footsteps. She is my mentor, my best friend, my teacher, my mother, my queen, and my deepest love. From her, I learned how to live with purpose, how to be patient, how to care for others, and how to seek Allah in every moment. Her footsteps are the ones I wish to follow, and her way of life is the light that continues to guide me.
Her days were filled with quiet acts of worship and endless service to others, and it is her love and dedication that I carry within me today. Truly, my mother was the real Queen of Queens—a woman of honor, grace, and the beauty of faith. I will strive every day to live as she did, for in her, I saw the embodiment of love, strength, and true nobility."
The Queen of Our Hearts
As much as my mother was a woman of strength, love, and faith, her departure from this world brought deep sorrow to our hearts. My siblings and I wept, unable to bear the pain of losing the woman who had been our everything. My father, who had stood by her side for so long, was left heartbroken, shedding tears for the queen who had filled his life with love, patience, and endless devotion. Her mother and brothers cried for her too, each tear a reflection of the immense love they had for her.
On the day she left us, it felt as though the whole world mourned. So many people came, their hearts heavy with grief, their eyes filled with tears. It wasn't just family that felt the loss—friends, neighbors, and even strangers wept for the incredible woman she was. What touched me most was seeing the number of people, including children, who prayed for her. It was their sincere prayers that gave me comfort during those difficult moments. Seeing people lift their hands to the sky, asking Allah to grant her Jannah, made me realize just how much she had touched their lives. It was a beautiful reminder that her goodness, her acts of kindness, and her love had reached so many hearts.
In the midst of our tears, knowing that she left this world with the prayers of so many filled me with a deep sense of peace. It was as though the mercy she had shown to others had come back to her in the form of countless du'as, rising to the heavens and asking Allah to shower her with His mercy and love.
