Aurelia's diary: Between Chicago skies

6. A boyfriend?

School started, I was really busy with school work such as projects, homework and my free time hobbies. At school, one guy- Oliver (from my study course) had started to like me.

One day he decided to invite me for diner in restaurant ''Quality Bistro''. We talked and I really started to like him as well. My best friend knew that first, and she was so happy about me. Everyday she waited for me to tell her the updates in my love life.

After a while me and Oliver became very close, we spend our free time together taking photos in New York, going to parties and studying of course.

On Friday evening Ethan decided to call me.

Me: ''Hi Ethan, how are you doing?''

Ethan: ''Hello there! I'm doing alright, you?''

Me: ''I'm doing fantastic!''

Ethan: ''Why is that? I'm happy about that, just I want to know the reason ha ha.''

Me: ''Ah! I have a boyfriend! His name is Oliver.''

Ethan: ''What?! You are joking, right? Ha ha.''

Me: ''No, it's true. Are you jealous, huh?''

Ethan: ''No,  of course I'm not. It's just... unbelievable for me.''

Me: ''Ha ha, right. Oh... I got a go! It was fun hearing your voice, bye!''

Ethan: ''Bye! Hope to hear from you soon!''

Soon I and Oliver went on our third date. (I can't believe it!) We talked about ambitions, dreams and our families. The weather was quite nice. There were some grey clouds, but after some time they were gone.

Oliver: ''Hey, I heard that our school is creating a party, will be there?''

Me: '''I think yes, and you?''

Oliver: ''Of course! I will pick you up this Saturday at 7:00 PM, okay?

Me: ''Okay.''

Saturday came right away and it was time to go to the party. I was wearing black short dress, sparkly black heels and my hair was down.

Then Oliver picked me up at 7:00 PM and we took off. When we arrived everyone was partying, talking and dancing. We soon entered the house and I immediately spotted Rose who was also attempting the party.

Rose: ''Nice dress!''

Me: ''You look stunning too!''

Rose: ''Hey, let's go dancing!''

I went on a dance floor with Rose while Oliver went to get something to drink. The party was fun and enjoyable. After an hour I spotted Ethan in the crowd. I went towards him.

Me: ''Hey? What are you doing here?''

Ethan: ''Just enjoying the party.''

Me: ''Okay... as you say so.''

Then Oliver came and placed his hand on my shoulder.

Me: ''Oliver meet my friend - Ethan.''

Oliver: ''We have already met each other, love.''

Me: ''You have? Where?''

Ethan: ''Oh, it's a long story. Aurelia?''

Me: ''Yes?''

Ethan: ''Can I talk to you under 4 eyes?''

Me: ''Okay. I will be back in a bit, Oliver.''

Oliver: ''Be careful, love.''

I smiled at him. I and Ethan went out of the house.

Me: ''So...what do you want to talk about?''

Ethan: ''You should not be with him.''

Me: ''What?! With Oliver? Why?''

Ethan: '''He is just a bad person and I don't want you to be involved in his caused problems.''

Me: ''Okay, I don't know what you are up to, but you are wrong.''

Ethan: ''Aurelia! You are blinded by love! How can you not see through him?!''

Me: ''I see him as a nice person and that's all! You are not the one who will say what to do!''

Ethan: ''You are really stupid!''

Me: ''Thank you!''

Then I went into the house to continue partying. Ethan did that too.

After 30 minutes Oliver and I were standing around the snack and drink table. Oliver asked me if I wanted to drink something and I agreed. He poured a drink for us.

Me: ''Thank you.''

Oliver: ''Anytime, dear.''

Me: ''I have to go to see how Rose is doing without me, ha ha.''

Oliver: ''Alright, but don't forget your drink.''

Me: ''I won't!''

I took my drink and went towards Rose who was dancing on the floor with other people. When she saw me, she stopped dancing and made her way towards me.

We started talking and I was about to take one sip from the glass when Ethan showed up in front of me and took the drink out of my hands.

Me: ''Hey! What is this all about?''

Ethan: ''Don't drink this.''

Me: ''Why?''

Ethan: ''This drink has been poisoned!''

Me: ''What?! By who?''

Ethan: ''By your lovely boyfriend - Oliver.''

Me: ''It can't be!''

Ethan: ''I saw him pouring something in to your glass before handing over to you.''

Rose: ''But why would he do such a bad thing?''

Ethan: ''I have no idea...''

Those past days went horrible. I talked with Oliver and Ethan was right. He was a bad person. We broke up immediately. I thanked Ethan, apologized for my rude attitude and that I was actually blinded by love. He forgave me. I was a bit surprised that he forgave me that fast.

Then everything went back to normal as it started. I and Ethan worked really hard on our studies we made so many new friends from across the world!
