The morning light seeped through the curtains, casting a soft glow over the room. Taehyung blinked, his eyes adjusting to the soft dawn, the warmth of sleep still lingering as he stretched his limbs. A gentle smile played on his lips, the remnants of a comforting sleep still fresh in his memory. The night before had been filled with Jungkook's words, his gentle voice a lullaby that led him to a rare sense of peace. "Sleeping with your love," Jungkook had said with that endearing innocence, "it's another kind of happiness."

Taehyung couldn't help but smile at the thought. There was something undeniably pure in the way Jungkook looked at love-like a treasure to be held close. Wrapping himself around Jungkook last night, feeling his warmth, his breath... it was the sort of contentment Taehyung hadn't realized he'd needed.

But now, the other side of the bed was cold. His arm stretched out instinctively, meeting only the empty, crumpled sheets where Jungkook had been.

Confused, Taehyung propped himself up on one elbow, glancing around the room. "Jungkook?" he called softly, voice a bit raspy with sleep.

A hand emerged from the right side of the bed, fingers stretching in a sleepy protest. Taehyung, still caught in his quiet morning thoughts, glanced down with a playful spark in his eye. There, sprawled out across the floor, lay Jungkook, his messy hair framing his face as he shot Taehyung a half-hearted glare.

Taehyung's lips curled up, struggling to stifle a laugh. He bit down, trying to look apologetic, but the amusement was too much. Within moments, he was slipping off the bed, moving swiftly to Jungkook's side.

"Oh," Jungkook muttered with mock irritation, narrowing his eyes, "so you decided to make my bed your personal kingdom, huh? Fun stretching out across the whole thing?"

Taehyung bit his lip harder, barely holding back a chuckle. He knelt beside Jungkook, hands reaching out to pull him close, knowing that Jungkook's glare was just a flimsy mask for the affection underneath. "Hey, in my defense," Taehyung whispered, leaning in close, "I was only trying to make it cozy for us."

Jungkook huffed, crossing his arms, though his lips twitched in a barely hidden smile. "Cozy, you say? You mean tossing me off the edge so you could hog every inch of space?"

Taehyung let out a laugh, pulling Jungkook up from the floor and into his embrace, burying his face into Jungkook's shoulder. "I missed you," he murmured, his voice softening, the playful tone melting away. "I thought you'd vanished on me."

Jungkook's mock frown faded, and he wrapped his arms around Taehyung, his warmth filling the space between them. "And here I thought you'd forgotten all about me," he teased, but his voice was tender, a hint of fondness threading through his words.

The two stayed there in a quiet embrace, laughter and teasing replaced by a quiet comfort that lingered as the morning sunlight bathed the room.

"Did you sleep on the ground all night?" Taehyung's voice was a soft mix of concern and surprise as he carefully lifted Jungkook and laid him back on the bed. His fingers brushed over Jungkook's hair, smoothing down the messy strands as he settled him into the warm sheets. "You should've woken me up," he murmured, a slight frown creasing his brow.

Jungkook's gaze softened, but he remained silent, his eyes tracing Taehyung's face as if memorizing every line, every tiny detail. Taehyung sat beside him, sighing as he gently cupped Jungkook's face, thumbs brushing over his cheeks. "I told you we didn't have to sleep together," he said, the weight of unspoken words lingering between them. He could feel Jungkook's heartbeat through the gentle contact, steady and comforting.
