Between the Smoke and Flames

You smile to yourself knowing you've just poked the bear. This was going to be fun, but somehow you knew that you were going to regret it later. You just didn't seem to care right now.

Sukuna lets out a chuckle and Suguru looks obviously pissed off, not knowing whether you're going along with Sukuna's act or what you said had some truth to it. Either way, it didn't rub him the right way.

Choso comes through the back door again and takes his seat next to you. You immediately have devious thoughts running through your brain on how you could mess with Suguru some more.

You grab Choso's thigh and give it a slight squeeze. He looks at you and raises an eyebrow.

You lean into his ear and whisper, "I'm just trying to see how far I can roll with whatever Sukuna put into Sug's brain. Go along with me?"

Choso gave a small laugh and nodded his head. You look back at the two men in front of you. Sukuna looks amused and Suguru...well if only looks could kill.

You take out the bag of rainbow sour strips from your tote bag and place them on Choso's lap as he's finishing the blunt he rolled.

You smile, "I brought these so we could snack on them."

He picks up the blunt and places it into your mouth, lighting it. Your smile turning into a smirk, knowing that Suguru is watching, and inhale deeply.

You remove the blunt from your mouth and exhale. Taking in one more hit before passing it to Choso.

"So how've you been, kiddo? We've missed you around these parts." Sukuna says before he takes a sip of his beer.

"I've been pretty good. Work's been busy, but not bad. We were just talking about Yuji before you came out here."

Sukuna accepts Choso's offer of the blunt, taking a hit before speaking.

"Yeah, the brat's doing good. He's making us proud."

You smile at Sukuna's comment, it made you feel good to know that Yuji had a good support system behind him. You drifted off into your own world as the men begun to converse. While being zoned out, you had suddenly felt a tall presence stand before you. It was Suguru, he was standing awkwardly in front of you, handing the blunt back in your rotation. He wasn't making any eye contact, just looking away into the yard.

Grabbing the roll from him, you also softly grab onto his hand. Gliding your hand from his hand to his fingers, slowly releasing as you place the blunt into your mouth. Even though he wasn't looking at you, you could see him become flustered from your hand movement.

You laugh to yourself and take a hit. Suguru doesn't move, instead he turns to Choso and swipes the candy bag from his hands. Choso rolls his eyes as Suguru returns back to his seat, angrily munching on the sour strips.

Sukuna is extremely entertained with the current events happening. He's curious to see how everything would play out if you continue with whatever game you were playing. He also decided he was going to continue to poke at Suguru with any chance he could get.

The rotation continued until there was nothing but a roach left. Beers were also passed out, but you declined. Tonight was just satisfying your craving for some good ol' herb.

Here and there, you'd feel Choso place his hand onto your thigh or hold your hand while caressing his thumb against yours. You'd look at Suguru to see his response every now and then, and he was not having it. He was clearly jealous and a had grimaced look on his face.
