Cosmo sighed as he reluctantly handed over his last few tapes for a bandage. He knew he wasn't the most skilled toon, only really useful on supply runs. Even then, his slow extraction speed and clumsiness held him back. He felt hopeless, unsure why Rodger even let him join runs, probably just to humor Sprout, the healer. As the elevator doors opened, the Swiss roll took a deep breath, bracing himself for yet another floor where he'd likely feel useless compared to the other toons.

Cosmo wandered the floor, his eyes darting around in search of any medkits or useful items that could aid him and his fellow toons. With Pebble successfully distracting the Twisteds, Cosmo knew his job was simply to wait until the other toons finished working on the various machines scattered throughout the area.

There were a total of eight machines, but only six toons to operate them. An idea struck Cosmo - maybe he could handle one of the machines himself! It wouldn't be much, but every little bit helped. Besides, if he could successfully contribute in some small way, perhaps the others would see him as more than just dead weight. Spotting an unoccupied machine, Cosmo hurried over, eager to prove his worth. Just as he began spinning the wheel, he heard a polite voice behind him. "Hello Cosmo. Can I take that machine from you?"

Cosmo turned to see Vee, one of the main toons, standing there. He blinked in surprise, his hand still gripping the wheel. He had only just started and didn't want to give up the machine so easily. But at the same time, he didn't want to be rude or get in the way of one of the more capable toons. Sighing, Cosmo reluctantly stepped off the machine, gesturing for Vee to take his place. "Of course," he replied, trying to keep the disappointment out of his voice.

"Thank you," Vee said graciously as she hopped onto the machine and began working it with practiced efficiency. Cosmo watched wistfully as she made quick progress, far surpassing what he could have accomplished. He felt both relieved and disappointed - relieved that the task was being handled by someone more competent, but disappointed that he hadn't been given the chance to prove himself.
