Catnap and Dogday barely make it out of the central control room before the door slams shut behind them. They collapse in a heap, panting and covered in dust, but alive."Did we... do it?" Dogday asks between gasps of breath.Catnap pulls out the blueprint, his eyes scanning it quickly. "I think we did. Sprocket's wings should be fixed now."They rush back to where they left Sprocket, finding the small bird standing tall, his wings gleaming with new life. He flaps them experimentally, and to their amazement, he takes off, soaring above them in graceful arcs."I can fly again!" Sprocket chirps joyfully, his voice filled with wonder and gratitude.Catnap smiles, feeling a warmth in his chest that he hasn't felt in a long time. "We did it," he says softly, turning to Dogday. "We actually did it."Dogday grins, his tail wagging furiously. "Of course we did. We're a team, remember?"As Sprocket flies off to explore the factory once more, Catnap and Dogday sit together, watching him with quiet satisfaction. They've faced dangers, conquered their fears, and come out stronger because of it. And through it all, their love for each other has only grown deeper.
