CHAPTER 06

Korn talks

I checked on Som and i saw him looking down.

I tap his shoulders and caressed his back gently.

"Hey, are you okay?”

He looked at me with weary eyes, I am worried his face doesn't look like he's okay.

“yeah, I'm fine..” he said

He doesn't look like he's fine, he’s lying to me.

“you know it's okay to share sometimes.. you can be weak, at least with me.. come on tell me what's wrong...”

I said trying to comfort him as much as possible, I didn't know the whole story of why his dad act like this.

He looked at me with teary eyes, he reach out for me and hugged me.

“Can i please hug you for a minute?”

He ask for permission, yet his hugging me already.

“you can hug me, whenever you want. I am all yours.”

I hugged him back, I can feel his sobs.

“Why is everyone so mean to me P'Korn? Why does everyone treat me so differently? Am I the worse? Am I that worthless? I feel so worthless P'Korn....”

He cried so much, I wanna tell this person in front of me that he is not worthless, he is worth it that he thinks, he’s not different, and he deserve everything in this world.

I withdraw the hug and I looked at him with worries in my eyes, his eyes are filled with tears..

I wiped it for him, his eyes are redder than I expected.

“Som... Don't say that, you are worthy, please don't say that ever again.. If you feel unworthy and useless, you can always call me na? Please don't ever say that, you are worth it, you are a gem, and if everyone is against you, I will be the only one on your side.. In every situation, I will be always in your side, so don't ever think that you are alone.. I am here, and I will always be here...”

He looked at me, and put a bitter smile on his face.

To be honest if this wasn't Som, I wouldn't do it.

[ People say that Korn is cold hearted enough and might possibly live all alone on his life, he is known to be workaholic that he can't even have enough time to eat, and specially to date.

Well, he doesn't believe in love for some reason, he’s bitter to everything, he doesn't even pay attention to his friends dating.. but somehow, this kid can change his mind? Is there something special about this kid? ]

He hugged me once again, while tearing up.

“Thank you so much Phi... Thank you so so much...”

[ Korn, where are you? ]

“Hospital, why?”
