Alina watches with a pen in her mouth as Gryffindor plays their first match against Hufflepuff.
Marcus Flint had insisted on watching the match, figuring out their strategies.
Beat them.
Alina feels herself tense as she was the only girl among her team. As much as she would like to admit she was ok with that she wasn't. The boys on her team were horrible.
Making sexist jokes. Making her work harder. Touching her.
How did she get on the team you ask?
Well no one really knows. Was it pure driven talent?
Nah.
Most likely it was her father. His influence. Or the fact that he hosted a whole party for the Quidditch team.
Bribery.
"Alina, are you paying attention?" Marcus grabs her chin forcefully making her look at him.
"Don't touch me" She hits his arm hard as she tries to move away but just ends up closer to another player.
"Of course I'm paying attention" She scoffs.
She was. Not to strategies.
Oliver Wood really looked good up there.
"You're staring at Wood only"
"I'm admiring" She says sarcastically.
"Because he's the enemy, figure out your enemy" She lies.
She always hated the way the team played.
Dirty cheaters. No talent.
"Well focus on the Chasers, your enemy" He demands making her roll her eyes staring harder at Oliver now to annoy the boy.
"Fucking slut" He mutters under his breath making Alina straighten.
"Excuse me?" She says. "Oh you didn't hear me?" Marcus smirks his yellow teeth making him just look all the worse.
"I heard you, I'm giving you a chance to correct yourself"
"I'm just being honest"
Alina mutters a small spell and Marcus goes flying across the student section falling down several flights onto some poor students. Her teammates gasp.
"DAWSON!" Alina smiles as she sends him a wink.
"You look comfy Marcus, enjoy yourself" She snorts as the kids throw the boy off their laps. Sending a middle finger his way she walks off finding a better place to sit.
"I admire you" "Lucky me" Oliver smiles as he leans against a pole, his Quidditch uniform still on as he holds his broom in one hand.
"Got a really nice view from up top" "Should have recorded it" She shakes her head in mock disappointment.
"Do it again and I will" "Yes sir Captain" She sarcastically sends him a two finger salute.
After a minute of silence she speaks up. "You did good, congrats"
She practically gags as the words spit out. Her heart racing as she waits for his response.
"Thanks!" Oliver beams.
He always grew much happier after a match. Well until the next one.
"Shouldn't you be with your team?" She asks now, standing up and dusting off her pants.
"Yeah, saw you and wanted to congratulate you first" He chuckles at the memory of Marcus flying halfway across the stadium.
"Well it's a day of victory for us both" She raises her lips so little that Oliver barely caught it. He decided he would pay a lot more attention.
"Oh, here" She reaches into her pocket and hands it to him.
"What's this?" He unfolds it.
"List of strategies, things you guys should fix before one of these nitwits figures it out"
"You took notes?"
"Just be grateful I'm not giving it to rat face" She raises an eyebrow.
"You don't want an advantage?"
"Nah, couldn't care less if we lose. I'm only on the team for one reason" Blowing a strand of hair out of her face she turns to leave.
"See you tomorrow Captain"
He watches in admiration as she walks off.
"Y-yeah see you" His heart flutters in a way that makes him want to throw up.
What the hell is happening?
