"Whats your name?" She asked as I followed her back through the same corridor.
After my approval from the lord of this house, a maid had come to pick me up. She was the same one who I had met the first when I entered this mansion.
"My name is Shen Wei. My first name is Wei and my last name is Shen"
"Are you a human?"
"Yes, I am. There are many humans with black hair from where Icame from"
"What a strange place!"
After this conversation, we fell back into silence and I followed her quietly. I looked out the window and saw the full moon shining bright as a diamond. The errei sensation brought chills throughout my body even though there was no wind.
After passing through a long corridor, she took the stairs that goes downstairs. The atmosphere here was a little better than the first floor. I could see multiple rooms here and guessed it must be the servant quarters. She opened a door and pointed to it.
"This is your room!"
"Okay, thank you!" She left as soon as she showed me the room.
I stepped inside and looked around. It was a plain normal room with minimal furnishing. There were two beds placed near each window. A table to separate them, a dresser, a cupboard, single chair and an old style heater.

I glanced at which bed to take and decided to take the left one. I looked at the other bed and it was neatly set. I wondered if there was another person sharing the room. I had not seen anyone else except the maid and the other man in the carriage. The mansion looked quite big from outside, so there must be few more people taking care of it. But I wondered where they all are. I shook my head and stopped thinking. I needed rest. My body was going to shut down soon, so I lied down on the bed. As soon as I laid down, everything I held back poured out as if they were waiting. My injured pride, how pathetically I had begged. I couldn't help but cry. I cried myself to sleep that night.
