(Amanda's POV.)

Today was Monday which meant it was the day I had to go back to school. I moaned and slammed the alarm clock that sat on the night stand next to my bed across the room to make the annoying beeping stop. I dragged myself out of bed and stumbled into the bathroom. I brushed out the tangled mess I called my hair until it was smooth and did my make-up. I went back to my room and got dressed into a cherry red strapless dress with big white polka-dots on it, a white short sleeve sweater, and some black high heals. I shuffled downstairs and into the kitchen where my big brother Zayn sat at the table.

"Morning,' I mumbled, rubbing one eye.

"Well hello there Sleeping Beauty!" He teased. I ignored him and got myself a banana for breakfast and sat next him at the table. "Ready to go back to shool?" he asked.

"Ready as I'll ever be," I told him giving him a thumbs up. there was a honk out side, signaling the bus was here.

"sounds like the bus. Better get out there.'

"Thanks Zayn. See ya... for luch?" I questioned.

Totally. See ya later,' he said giving me a hug. I grabbed my lunch and booked it out to the bus. I hopped up the stairs jsut as the driver closed the doors behind me.

"You were almost lat, Miss Amanda," the driver told my in a harsh tone crossing me off her roll. I avoided her gaze as I made my way to the back of the bus. I was fairly close to my seat when someone put teir foot inot the isle and I fell flat on my face. I got up and turned to the person.

"Watch where you pit your feet next time!" I scowled. As soon as the persom turned towards me, I knew i had just made a big mistake.

Excuse me?" Chelsea questioned. I was silent and stared at her wishing it would burn a hole right through her. Unfortunatly, it didn't. Before speaking againg she rolled her eyes. "You said something. I herd it. What was it?" she questioned bitterly.

"Nothing.' I said through girtted teeth.

"Well than? What are you still doing here? Scram,' she said turnning back to her friend and started giggling. I made my way to my seat with a few dirrty looks from friends of Chelsea. I sat dowm and started daydreaming. See, Chelsea and I used to be best friends. Like, inseperable. I don't remember what happened, but now, she hates me. I mean, she's a popular, and I'm not. I guess we never were ment to be friends anyways. The bus jolted to a stop, interrupting my train of thought. I jumped out of my seet and headed out of the bus before Chelsea could throw another tantrum. I stepped through the front doorway of the school just as the 5 miute bell rang. I rushed to my locker and headed to my next class. The rest of the day was a blur. My only friend, Sydney, was in York for the National Softball Tournament. Before I knew it, I was headed over to Zupas Cafe to meet Zayn for luch. It was about a 10 minute walk, which wasn't to bad. As I reached the resturaunt, I could see Zayn through the window at the familiar booth we always sat at. I walked in and ran to my big brother.

"Zayn!" I squeeled, giving him a massive hug.

"Hey, little sis!" He laughed. "Sit," he said gesturing to the table. "So, how's school going?" He questioned as we sat down. I scrunched my nose up in disgust.

"Terrible. Syd isn't here so I cant talk to her about stuff like boys, food, cloths, how terrible school is."

"Wow," he remarked very sarcasticaly. i just shoved his shoudler into the wall. "Ouch! that hurt!" he yelled. I giggled to myself.

"Do you want to go and order?" he asked quickly changing the subject.

"No. I'll just stay here. You know what I like." And with that, he left towards the front counter. I looked at my phone in in my pocket to cheak the time. 12:23. Yikes! Only got 47 more minutes and I still have to walk. Zayn came back to our tanle with a tray full of food. I took my Mango Berry Salad and Hot Chocolate. Zayn ordered a whole lot of food. 2 small bowls of Clam Chowder, 5 Choloclate covered Strawberries, and a Mango Berry salad. He devoured all of it in what seem like less than a minute, while I want even half way done with my salad. I finished up my meal just as the place had started getting packed. I assumed it was time to go back to school and I checked the time.
