Wedding day
The wedding day arrived much faster than Jungkook had anticipated. She sat in front of the mirror, dressed in her wedding gown, ready but waiting, as the groom's family hadn't arrived yet. She heard the door click open and looked up to see her three aunts stepping in with mocking smiles on their faces. Jungkook swallowed hard, her nerves tightening, knowing well what cruelty they were capable of.
They sat around her, feigning sadness. The eldest aunt gave a dramatic sniffle, pretending to wipe away tears. "Aww, our little Jungkookie is finally leaving us," she cooed, her tone dripping with sarcasm.
The second aunt leaned in, her smirk cold. "You know, dear, you'll need to remember some rules," she said smoothly. "If you don't, your husband might throw you out—and don't expect us to take you back. Once you're married, you're a stranger to us."
Jungkook felt tears prick her eyes as her fingers fidgeted with the rough fabric of her dress. Her cousins had intentionally picked out a dress made of low-quality material that scratched and irritated her skin, leaving her neck red and itching painfully.
Her aunt began listing the rules with a chilling calmness. "First, never look him in the eye when he's speaking to you. Second, always do exactly as he says. Third, don't make a single move without his permission. If he tells you to stand, you stand—no sitting, talking, or moving unless he allows it. You're his doll now, got it?"
Then, in a cruel, lowered voice, she continued, "Tonight, on your wedding night, as soon as he enters the room, you're to undress and lie down, silently, without question. You'll do this every night, or we'll make sure you regret it. We've put a tracking clip on you, so we'll know if you try to disobey."
The youngest aunt leaned in, smirking as she reached around to touch Jungkook's back, where a scar from an old burn still throbbed at the contact. "Remember what I did to you when you ruined my lipstick?" she whispered.
Jungkook shivered, biting back a whimper as the rough fabric of her dress brushed against the painful scar. She stayed silent, feeling trapped and terrified, her heart heavy with dread for the life waiting for her beyond the walls of this room.
The church bells rang out, echoing through the hall as Jungkook's aunts finally backed away, leaving her alone in the room for a moment. Her father entered, his expression stern, and without a word, he took her hand in a grip that felt more like steel than comfort. Jungkook looked up at him, her eyes filling with tears, searching for even a flicker of warmth or reassurance in his face. But he didn't look at her; instead, he tightened his grip and pulled her forward with cold determination.
As they stepped down the aisle together, Jungkook tried to steady her trembling heart, each step feeling heavier than the last. At the altar, Taehyung stood tall, his gaze fixed on her with an expression she couldn't quite read. His face was calm, almost detached, watching her approach without a trace of emotion in his eyes.
Reaching the altar, Jungkook's father released her hand with a sharp, final tug, signaling the end of his part in her life. She swallowed hard, barely able to lift her gaze to meet Taehyung's.
After wedding
After the wedding, Jungkook sat silently beside Taehyung as he drove the car. One of his hands was on the steering wheel, while the other held her small hand along with the gear. Jungkook sat stiffly, looking straight ahead and sniffing quietly. Despite her sadness, his warm palm felt comforting, and she found herself liking the gentle touch.
They had ended up in this position after Taehyung noticed her silently crying beside him. When he glanced over, he saw how small and fragile she looked on the large seat. Without saying anything, he reached over and placed her tiny, red hand under his, holding it gently above the gear to offer her some silent comfort.
Taehyung glanced at Jungkook once more before turning the steering wheel toward the entrance of his mansion. As they approached, the guard immediately opened the gate, bowing respectfully to his young master. Jungkook's eyes widened, astonished at the enormous mansion that stood before her. She had never seen anything so grand, and her breath caught as she took in the towering building, the elegant gardens, and the perfectly kept grounds stretching out around it.
Taehyung chuckled softly, raising his hand to playfully close Jungkook's mouth when he noticed her staring wide-eyed at the mansion. Startled by his sudden gesture, Jungkook quickly looked down in embarrassment, her cheeks flushing bright red.
"Did you like it?" Taehyung asked gently, his fingers caressing her chin, sending little shivers down her spine. Jungkook felt her heart race at the sound of his deep, husky voice and nodded shyly, her eyes flickering up to meet his for just a moment.
Taehyung smiled widely, captivated by how cute and timid she looked. "Oh, come on! Let this peasant hear your sweet voice!" he teased, turning off the car and shifting fully toward her. Jungkook ducked her head even lower, her cheeks heating up further as she stammered, "Y-you are... are n-not a-a pea-asant, p-please!"
Taehyung stared at her for a moment, then burst into laughter, the sound ringing out in the car. Jungkook flinched slightly at his loud reaction, her eyes widening in surprise, but she couldn't help the tiny smile that crept onto her lips.
"Oh gosh! You're just too cute! My little wife!" Taehyung exclaimed, his playful demeanor shining through. He leaned closer, winking at her as he continued to tease. "With those adorable cheeks and that shy little voice, how could I ever be anything but a lucky guy?"
Jungkook's heart fluttered at his words.
Taehyung unbuckled his seatbelt, stepped out, and in a smooth, quick move, walked around to Jungkook's side to open the door for her. As Jungkook carefully adjusted her gown to step out, she suddenly felt herself lifted off the seat, her feet no longer touching the ground. She let out a soft squeak, barely audible, instinctively clutching his coat collar as he held her securely.
Taehyung chuckled, utterly amused at the look on her face—her wide, surprised eyes and parted lips made her look even smaller and more adorable in his arms. "Gotcha, little one," he teased, giving her a warm smile.
Jungkook's cheeks deepened in color as she gazed up at Taehyung, her heart beating wildly. She was overwhelmed but couldn't ignore the warm, secure feeling of being held by him. As Taehyung strode forward with her cradled effortlessly in his arms, he couldn't resist teasing her a bit. With a playful smirk, he gave her a gentle bounce in his hold.
Jungkook squealed softly, clutching his shoulders tightly, her fingers gripping the fabric of his suit for support. Her wide eyes looked up at him in surprise, and he chuckled at her reaction. "Hold on tight, little one," he said with a grin.
Jungkook's blush deepened, and despite her flustered state, she couldn't help but smile shyly, feeling a strange, delightful sense of ease with him.
