Omg season 2 is coming and I'M SO READY FOR IT AAAAAAAAAAAAH

In the waking world, Selena was absorbed in her work, the day-to-day tasks providing a brief escape from the strange and unsettling events that had begun to unfold in her life. The office was quiet, the rhythmic tapping of keyboards and the soft hum of fluorescent lights creating a mundane backdrop to her thoughts.

Suddenly, a faint tapping at the window pulled her from her reverie. Startled, Selena turned to see Matthew, Morpheus's raven, perched on the narrow ledge outside her window. Her heart skipped a beat at the sight, a mixture of excitement and trepidation filling her.

Making sure no one was watching, Selena discreetly approached the window. She opened it just a crack, enough to whisper to the raven. "Matthew? What are you doing here?"

Matthew glanced around, his beady eyes sharp with caution. "I've come to fetch you, Selena. Morpheus has something important to show you."

Selena's pulse quickened, the familiar tug of the Dreaming brushing against the edges of her awareness. She quickly glanced over her shoulder, ensuring the rest of the office remained oblivious to her actions. The weight of the situation pressed down on her, but she couldn't ignore Matthew's message. Without hesitating further, she opened her bag wide, motioning for Matthew to enter.

"Get in quickly, before anyone notices," she whispered, her heart pounding.

With a swift, graceful flutter of wings, Matthew slipped into the bag, nestling himself among the contents as Selena carefully zipped it closed, making sure not a single feather peeked out. She took a steadying breath, her fingers tightening around the strap as her mind raced with possibilities. She couldn't afford to draw attention now.

Moving with purpose, Selena scribbled a note on her desk: 'Not feeling well. Going home.' She placed it where it would be noticed, hoping it would buy her enough time. Clutching the bag tightly to her side, she made her way through the office, her steps swift and deliberate.

Selena walked calmly but purposefully, heading toward the archive room—one of the few places in the building where she could find some solitude. The room was secluded, its rows of shelves stacked with dusty records and documents that were rarely disturbed. A place where she could disappear without drawing attention.

Once inside, she quickly closed the door behind her, the quiet settling like a protective barrier between her and the world outside. She set the bag down on a nearby table, her hands trembling slightly as the weight of what was happening caught up to her. Matthew emerged from the bag, shaking out his feathers before hopping onto the edge of the table, his beady eyes sharp with purpose.

"Alright," Selena said, her voice tinged with concern as she tried to calm her racing thoughts. "What's going on?"

Matthew looked at her, his usual casual demeanor replaced by a more serious expression. "Morpheus found something important—something about your mother's past. He needs you to come to the Dreaming, right now."

Selena's heart skipped a beat. Her mother's past? "My mother's past?" she echoed, her voice wavering between shock and disbelief. "What does it show?"

"I don't have the details," Matthew admitted, his gaze steady. "But he needs you. Now."

As Matthew spoke, the air in the archive room began to shimmer, the space warping slightly as though reality itself was bending. A soft, glowing portal materialized before them, its edges rippling like the surface of a pond touched by a single pebble. The light it radiated was faint but comforting, casting long, soft shadows across the shelves.
