Dipper looked on in horror at Stan's unmoving stone body, his deer legs trembling. This is my fault... Dipper slowly moved closer to Stan, his breathing quick and unsteady. Dipper bent down, putting his hand on Stan's stone skin.

Stan's eyes flew open, and he doubled over, sucking in air. His claws dug into the carpet, and straight threw the floor. His eyes glowed with a red hue, and Dipper fell backward in alarm. Stan looked at Dipper, scanning him. "What happened... And why are you a deer?" Stan spoke gruffly, as if he hadn't spoken in years.

"It's a long story. And have you taken a look at yourself lately?" Dipper spoke in a high voice, and Stan looked down at his arms. He let out a hoarse laugh, and stood up, towering over Dipper, who was still shaking on the ground.  Stan stumbled over to a mirror on the wall, and gave himself a long, hard stare. "Kid, what happened? And where is Mabel?"

Dipper stood, and began to explain the story to Stan. He didn't say a word, but instead inspected his new form, stretching out his wings. When Dipper finished, Stan didn't say anything, but walked to the bathroom to check on Mabel. Dipper hesitantly padded after him, wondering why Stan didn't do anything to him. Is he mad?

Dipper trotted into the bathroom to see Stan talking with Mabel. "Uh... Stan? Your not, mad or anything?" Dipper said hesitantly.

Stan turned his head, and said lightly, "No, I'm not. You couldn't have done anything else against Bill. You shouldn't have even been there though. But I'm proud how you handled him. He should be weaker in a human form." Stan pondered the thought, then reached over to help Mabel get out. Mabel looked in awe at Stan, and she flopped onto the floor. Dipper gently lifted her and put her on his back.

A quiet laughter filled the house. Stan froze, his eyes wide. Then he whispered, "Run. Get out now." Dipper hesitated, then began to sprint for the door, Mabel holding on to him and Stan following.

"Not so fast."

Dipper slammed into an invisible barrier, blocking his way out. He tumbled to the ground.

"I just want to have a little fun first..."

Then...

Blackness.
