Chapter Four

Rachel's POV:

I woke up from something heavy and warm falling onto me. I looked up and saw my dog Chase.

I smiled
"Hey Chase ! You finally here, were the people at the dog pension nice to you ?" I said stroking his fur.

My parents wanted Chase to stay at a pension until we were totally finished with the new house.

It was 10.00am. I got up and walked into my bathroom, taking a shower and brushing my teeth.

Dressed in nothing but a towel, I walked back into my room and rummaged threw my closet.

"Hi Rachel" someone said making me jump and almost drop my towel.

I turned around to see Cameron sitting on my bed.

"Oh my god, what are you doing here !" I practically yelled at him.

"My parents and I came to visit you and your family. Your parents said I could go upstairs into your room"

I sighed. My parents seemed to get a lot of visits of our neighbors lately.

"Let .. Let me just get ready" I said
He nodded and stayed on my bed.

I pulled underwear, a bra, some grey sweats and a black tank top out of my closet.

I walked into my bathroom, got dressed and did my makeup. Which just was some foundation, mascara and sometimes winged eyeliner (today without eyeliner) then I pulled my long brown hair into a messy bun.

I walked back into my bedroom. Cameron smiled at me and was petting Chase.

I walked to the couch, which was across from my bed, and sat down.

"Won't you sit beside me ?" He pouts.
"I think it's just fine like this" I said.

"She's got attitude, I see" he says smirking.

I furrowed my eyebrows "whatever"

He laughed at me and I just sat there annoyed.

After some time, filled with silence, I decided to speak up.

"When are you leaving ?" I said a little too harsh.
"You already want me to leave, kitten ?"
"Don't call me that" I scoffed.

He held his hands up in defend.

"Ayy, what's wrong with you ?" He said with a chuckle in his voice.

"What's wrong with me ? I hate this place, I want to go back to my old home and you're just making me even angrier, Cameron" I snapped

"You can call me Cam" he said.
"What ?"
"I don't like being called Cameron, I prefer cam" he simply said.

I nodded and looked down at my hands. Sometimes I could be so harsh to people. It's just that I'm not really the nicest person you'll ever meet.

"You going to that party tomorrow ?" He asked.
"Yes. Ella invited me" I answer

He smiled "Ella, she's a really nice girl. I tried to start something with her but then she started something with that boy called Michael" he said shrugging his shoulders. "Who cares, she wasn't so my type"

I looked at him in disbelief, realizing that that guy was showing fuckboy potential. [A/N: I know cam isn't like that in real life, it's just for the sake of this story]

"Anyway, I'm going to that party, too. I'll see you there" he said grinning.

"..yeah"

"By the way, do you have a boyfriend ?"

I scoffed

"Yes, yes I do" I answered harshly.

"Oh okay" he said, shrugging his shoulders like he did before.

"Cam, we're leaving !" A woman, probably mrs Dallas, yelled from downstairs.

"Well, it was nice to spend my morning with you, Rachel Jones" he said and walked out of the door.

I sighed and plopped down on my bed. I pulled out my phone and texted Ella asking her if she'll come over soon so that we can go shopping.

About an hour later I was changed into some dark, tight jeans with a white hollister shirt and grey nikes. Ella arrived and we drove off to a big mall in LA.

On the way there she explained me a lot of stuff about the city but it was quite boring and I actually wasn't listening at all.

We walked inside of the mall and Ella pulled me to a shop where they just sell dresses.
She ran off and looked for some dresses. I followed her and she held a yellow dress up giving me an questioning look.

I shake my head no "I don't like yellow"
"What do you like then ?"
"Black, white, grey, stuff like that"

She nodded and kept looking threw all the dresses. "While I look for a dress you can choose the shoes you wanna wear." She said pointing to a direction where I suppose are the shoes.

I walk in the direction to a big table full of different shoes. I looked around for a while and at the end I chose some white high heels.

I walked back to Ella. She turned around and held a black crop top and a whine red skater skirt up. "I thought this would look better than a plain black dress" she said and I smiled.

I walked into the changing room and put all of the stuff on.

I walked back outside
"Rachel, you look amazing" Ella squealed clapping both her hands together.

I laughed at her and we drove back. She sat me off at my house and drove off to hers.

I decided to call Jack as soon as I entered my bedroom.

I opened my MacBook and clicked on FaceTime.

After some time he picked up and smiled at me. I smiled back and then I noticed Madison sitting next to him.

"Hi guys" I said getting a little uncomfortable.

"Hi Rachel" they both said

"Sammy is here too, he just went to the bathroom" Jack said
"Ok" I answered.

"So tell us, what has happened so far?"
Jack says.

"Well... In the morning came some neighbors to visit us, again. And on the afternoon I went shopping for a party with Ella "

"Which party ?" Sammy said coming into the room and sitting down next to Jack.

"A beach party. Tomorrow is the last Saturday before school so they are throwing a big party" I explained.

"That's cool" Madison said and I smiled slightly.

It got a bit awkward so I decided to find an excuse to end the call

"Sorry guys, I have to go now. I'm going out for dinner with my parents" I lied and waved goodbye.

They waved back and I ended the call.
I decided to go to sleep because I was really exhausted. I went into the bathroom, took my makeup off and brushed my teeth.

Then I got into my bed and fell asleep. (At first slowly and then all at once ~ hehe)

I hopped you liked this chapter ❤️ I'm sorry for being such an slow updater but it's just that I have quite a lot of stress lately. For example I have 2 concerts i have to Perform in (cello and guitar) in the next 2 weeks and let me tell ya, those concerts are gonna be shit 😁😁 I have summer break in 2 weeks (yeeeeeessssssssss) so then I'll be updating more frequently !
