An unlikely pair.

-Chapter 5: Rayquaza's Birthday (1/2)-

Yawn, what time is it...? Oh well, time to get out of bed...

It's been about an week after the events of that. Nothing much happened, aside from visting a few friends and Kyogre strangely trying to call me. I ignored them. Oh well.

I looked at the Clock. It was 10 AM. Wonder what day it is... hmm... 15th September? Why does that feel oddly familar- Wait. Oh god. My eyes widen, as i became aware...tommorow was Rayqauza's birthday...AND I HADN'T DONE ANYTHING. I picked up my phone, calling Kyogre.

Kyogre: "Finally found out why i tried to call you, huh? You better get your ass working! You're making the main Cake after all! And if this Party is ruined cause of YOU, then i'm going to soak you till you pass out."

Groudon: "I'm sorry, I'm sorry i forgot! I'm gonna work on it right now!"

Kyogre: "You better!"

Kyogre hung up, as i had to quickly find out not only what Cake to make, but also what to gift Rayquaza...Maybe i should do the Cake first...Hmmm...It's gotta be something he likes to eat...Think, Groudon...Think! Wait, i know! Meteorites. I don't know why he does, but he does. Problem is, i can't possibly get one...so how am i gonna make this dumb Meteorite Cake?

I walked around in a circle, before i got an idea.

Groudon: "I got it! I'll use Chocolate and shape it like Meteorites, hah! That'll work!"

Feeling proud of my great idea, i walked out to get the stuff i need for the Cake. I need to get the Cake done by tommorow morning, and get a Gift for him...but what? As i walked into a Shop, to grab what i needed, i realized i had no idea what to gift him... Maybe i could uh...borrow an idea from Entei? I got my Phone and called Entei.

Groudon: "Hey, Entei? I kinda messed up, and forgot about Ray's B-Day till now. I'm in the mids of getting the stuff for the Cake, but i got no idea what to get him. Could you help me out here?"

Entei: "Are you serious, dude? How did you forget? And how am i supposed to know?"

Groudon: "Pleaseeeeeee?"

Entei: "Okay, fine... Maybe gift him a Scarf? You know, he doesn't like the Cold a lot. I don't think anyone with a 4x Ice Weakness does. If that's not enough, i heard Dragons hoard Treasure and shiny things. Maybe get something like jewelry? Prehaps something he can wear? That's as good as i can do."

Groudon: "Those are great ideas, Entei! Thank you, you are a life saver!"

Entei: "Yeah, yeah..."

I hung up, as i continued shopping. I could easily get a Scarf... but the jewelry? I don't even know what to get him...Oh, i know what i can try. I could maybe ask Diancie for help. They probably know all about that...I hope. Else i might be fucked.

After a bit of shopping, i got everything that i needed, and went into the clothing shop right nearby while i was at it. I scanned the Scarfs for anything that might fit Rayquaza. After a bit of digging, i found a nice Green-ish Scarf, which is so long, that it could literally only fit Rayquaza, and no other. How convient. I paid for the Scarf, and went to put the stuff back in my Home. Now to deal with the Jewelry...

As i thought about what to give him, i thought about maybe something along the lines of earings? Maybe i could draw a design. I took out a pencil, some colors and a piece of paper and decided to draw. Maybe Gold? That could be a nice touch. Some Gems in the middle... Hmmm...Alright, got it! It's going to be Diamond-Shaped with three little gems in the middle. A Ruby, a Sapphire and a Emerald. That looks perfect! Wait, where is Rayquaza gonna wear em? Hmmm...wait doesn't he have those knife or blade looking...things... that also look like ears? He could put them at the end of that. Yeah, that fits.

I looked back to the Clock. 11:35 AM. I could probably finish this. Now, i just need to call Diancie, and hope she can help.

Diancie: "Hello, who is this?"

Groudon: "H-Hey, Diancie. It's Groudon. Look, errr it's a bit late, but i wanted to get a gift for Rayquaza for his Birthday. Someone thought of jewelry, and i thought that was a good idea. Could you help me with that? I already would have a design."

Diancie: "Hmm, sure!"

Groudon: "Really?"

Diancie: "Of course, for the low, low price of 500.000 Poké~!"

Groudon: ". . ."

Diancie: "Just kidding, for you, it's only 5000. Is that alright, for you?"

Groudon: "Yeah, i can do that."

Diancie: "Great, can you come over at around 3-4 PM? I would have enough freetime there for your request."

Groudon: "Will do."

Diancie: "Alright, see you there!"

Diancie hung up. Now how will i get to Kalos...wait...Oh boy.

I went outside my Cave, and focused, aimed at the opposite direction i wanted to go, and started using a Strong Solar Beam to push myself back. It's tiring, and looks silly, but i got no other choice. Atleast it's fast. So fast, i was there in 10 minutes. On my way to Diancie, which was still a long one, i decided to grab some Food. I have no Time for anything good though, so Fast Food will have to do. I devourered my Food as i walked. Totally not getting lost meanwhile. Nope, that would never happen to someone like me.

At around 3:35 PM i arrived at Diancie's Place. She was already awaiting me.

Diancie: "There you are, i was waiting for you."

Groudon: "Yeah..."

Diancie: "Alright, do you have your design?"

Groudon: "Right here." I gave Diancie the Design on the Paper.

Diancie: "Hmm, yes, this looks very pretty! I'll have it done in no time! But first..."

Groudon: "Yeah...Yeah..." I paid Diancie the 5.000 Poké.

Diancie: "Great. Stay here, this'll be done faster than you'd think."

I stayed where i was, and saw Diancie go away. Just 5 minutes later, she gave me the two earrings, and left. Waving goodbye. I looked to the earrings...they looked perfect....just like he is...Ah, anyways...Back Home it is... Another 15 or so minutes later, i was back home already. Now to get the Cake baked...

I started baking the Cake, as i wrote to Kyogre, letting them know i'll be done in a few minutes, and have the cake ready for tommorow. As i made the Cake, i formed little rocks of Chocolate, and painted them to look like Meteorites. I made the rocks uneven, to represent the rugged, unevenness of a normal Meteorite. 32 all around should work...The Cake itself was still Chocolate, but i also added a bit of Coconut and Vanilla. No clue if that combo will be what ruins the Cake. Let's hope not. I put it into the oven, let it bake, and then it was done. I put the Cake in a container, ready for tommorow. Dang, i was fast. Not even 6 PM yet. Oh well, guess i can be lazy all Night long then! Hehe...
