"Michael? You ready?" Noah asked, looking behind to me.
I nodded in approval, quickening my pace so I would catch up with Noah.
You see, we had both decided to buy an apartment together. We'd split the bills and everything so it wasn't a completely bad idea. A medium sized apartment with a kitchen, bathroom and even separate beds was the complete opposite of bad in fact. However, there was a catch, for me atleast, that turned this almost perfect situation into a massacre of my feelings. Me and Noah 𝙢𝙖𝙙𝙚 𝙤𝙪𝙩 almost two years ago and I still wasn't over it. Other than our argument, we never addressed it, like ever. In the case that the topic would undoubtedly appear in our conversation, we both tried our best to ignore and avoid the talk. It was as if a silent agreement was made to never refer to the fact our lips met eachother. And no, it wasn't just a simple peck. Not to mention that I could feel Noah's hand going up my shirt and squeezing my nipple. Now that we were officially living together, flashbacks to those supposed 5 minutes would somehow be further engraved in my mind. The torture started when I was literally walking there with Noah, bags in hand. Thank goodness he spoke up because of he hadn't, I would've walked straight into the wall.
I roughly knew what the apartment looked like inside since we already had been inside when choosing if we wanted it. It was exactly what we needed and as a bonus, it was near our university. We actually both got accepted by the same uni, just different majors. Not wasting a second, I took my luggage to my room and began unpacking. I didn't bring that much but enough to decorate my room and have the bare necessities. Noah unsurprisingly followed me to my room. For once, I was dreading his presence.
"Do you like this place?"
"Mhm." I muttered dismissively.
Noah gave me a 'really' look which immediately broke my unbothered act.
"Don't you need to unpack or something?" I blurted out, flustered.
"I already did, before you got here."
"Of course you did.. Well, what do you want now?"
"How rude! And I was about to give you a part time job idea too."
I raised my eyebrows, my interest being peaked.
"It's good paying and is enough for the rent and our own expenses. However, you'll have to endure working for your father-"
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN WORKING FOR MY FATHER?!"
"They're allowing people 18 and over become a security guard for a really high pay given it's 3 to 5 days a week job. It's the best for our circumstances and the restaurant's only 10 minutes from uni."
I sighed before turning to him and giving him an annoyed expression.
"I guess we can..."
"That's all I really wanted to say, see you."
"Wait," I held his hand unconsciously "stay. Please?"
"Of course." Noah remarked, laugh slightly.
He helped me put everything away as we talked about random things. Because of his assistance, my room was finished relatively fast. I fell onto my bed with a loud sound of celebration. The red head followed next to me with a smirk on his face.
