Someone New

After I texted Bailey, I suddenly felt extremely drowsy. The events of the day were too much too soon and just simply overwhelmed me.

I fell asleep for several hours, and woke up to a few text messages. One from Hunter, one from my mom, and three from Bailey. That intrigued me. She sent me a smiley face, a 'what are you doing', and then a 'call me when you get this'.

I looked at the time on my phone. She sent the last message at 1:43 AM, and it was now 2:30 AM. I sighed heavily, debating on whether or not I should call her. Before I thought too hard about it, I clicked on her contact in my phone and pushed the call button.

After three short rings, I got an answer. "Willow." She sounded a little out of breath, but I could hear a sigh of satisfaction behind it.

"Hi, sorry, I know it's pretty -"

"Don't apologize, gorgeous. How about I come pick you up and we go to my deer lease?"

I couldn't help but blush furiously. "Okay, um, I guess that's cool."

We hung up with the promise of me texting her my address, so I sent it to her quickly and ran to my closet to find something to wear. It was a little chilly outside, at least I think so. I quickly tore the tags off of the teal hoodie I bought today, along with a cute v-neck shirt and my new Miss Me jeans. I ran a brush through my hair and put on a little Chapstick and a squirt of my Ed Hardy perfume.

Just then my phone vibrated with an "I'm here" text. I took a deep, nervous breath, and quietly snuck down the stairs. Just as I was about to open the front door a hand grabbed my shoulder from behind me.

"Where do you think you're sneaking off too?" Hunter whispered.

I cursed silently and spun around to face my nosy brother, his large smug grin plastered on his face. "Ass. I'm going out with Bailey. Don't tell mom and dad, please?" I put on my best puppy dog face.

Hunter spun me around and shoved me out the door with a promise to cover for me if our parents discovered I wasn't home. I didn't think they would mind, honestly. They both had been practically dying for me to get out of the house and do something.

Across the street I spotted a huge Dodge Dually truck humming quietly. I tentatively crossed the street in small strides, nervous and questioning my motives before I even made it to the truck. As I popped around to the passenger side, Bailey greeted me with an open door and a bouquet of daisies.

I blushed profusely. "For me? How did you even know I would like these? Daisies are my..."

"Favorite." Bailey finished my sentence. "I know darling. I had a little help from your brother."

I climbed in the truck, accepting the daisies with a smile. "He's sneaky, I'll give him that."

I shut the door and Bailey grinned at me and I'm pretty sure my heart exploded right then and there. On our drive to the deer lease we talked about everything. Bailey asked me everything about my personal life and I did the same with her. The 30 minute drive seemed to fly by, and by the time we reached her deer lease I felt like I was with an old friend.

"Quiet now, pretty lady. We don't wanna scare Bambi and his mama." I giggled silently at her thick twang. We walked for about half a mile before we reached the coolest deer lease I had ever seen. It was nestled in a large oak tree, and blended in pretty perfectly, minus the rebel flag I could see sticking through the window.

I climbed the ladder and Bailey followed behind me, whistling. I started giggling again and by the time we reached the inside it had turned into full blown laughter. She didn't seem to understand why I was laughing so hard, and honestly, neither did I.

"I'm.....sorry....." I managed in between bouts of laughter.

Bailey started laughing too and eventually we were on the floor clutching our sides. Bailey got herself together first and sat up. "You have a cute laugh, little lady."

Little lady. For some reason those words tugged at my heart strings. I felt myself crawl closer to her, and suddenly my face was within two inches from hers. Bailey gently pushed my down on the floor and her lips crashed against mine.

We were clawing at each other's clothes, trying to get them off. Suddenly the air around me turned icy and I stiffened beneath Bailey's warm grasp. I peeked to the side and saw Carson's face burrowed in anger. I shoved Bailey's chest frantically as I tried to get to Carson. Everything around me suddenly started blurring and fading, and I heard Carson and Bailey calling out to me in unison.

"Willow? Oh my god, wake up!"

*FLASHBACK*

"Willow? Oh my god, wake up!" Carson shouted for the fourth time.

I groaned and smacked her hand away. "Babe, why? It's so early."

Carson chuckled and snuggled up next to me, running her fingers through my hair. "Because we haven't seen each other in a week and I really want to make out with you." Of course my body molded farther into hers.

I quickly flipped over and pulled Carson into an upright position. I tugged her bottom lip with my teeth and grinned as I slid my tongue into her gasping mouth. Carson pulled my shirt off and quickly yanked her sports bra and boxers off. My
body radiated at the feel of hers pressed against mine.

"I'm want to make love to you, Willow. Right here...right now...can't wait." She trailed kisses down my neck towards my chest and I couldn't hold myself back any longer.

"Take me, now."

It was the first time we made love. Carson kept whispering I love you into my ear. I couldn't imagine being anywhere else. We spent hours making love to
each other before I slowly drifted into dreamland on Carson's chest...

*END FLASHBACK*

"Wake up, baby girl. Come on. Please, Willow, please." I slowly blinked and came face to face with a worried but relieved Bailey.

Suddenly the last twenty minutes rushed into my head and I burst into tears. I was making out with a girl and my ex girlfriend's ghost showed up.

"Hey, shh. It's okay, pretty lady." Bailey pulled me into her arms and started rocking me back and forth.

"What happened back there, Willow? You can tell me anything. I know Carson's death has been hard on you..."

I pulled out of her grasp and grew frigid. "Carson? How do you know about Carson?"

Bailey tensed and then sighed in defeat and grabbed my hand.

"Willow..."
