(This turned into me just shipping Camora and Yinnie, woops-)
"Sorry I don't have an actual costume." Camora said, "What- what do you mean? You're a witch, aren't you?" Yinnie asked, "My hat is made out of paper." Camora said flatly, "And it's the coolest thing I've ever seen!! I don't e- I don't even know how you made that from just paper and glue!" Camora turned away shyly, she still wasn't used to Yinnie's compliments. Her costume was nothing compared to Yinnie's, Yinnie wore a beautiful purple dress and a long blonde wig with flowers braided in, she had styled the wig herself. When Camora turned she saw yet another row of houses without decorations, "Fucking hate this neighbourhood." she muttered. "I know, right? Don't worry, we're almost there." Yinnie said, her mother had discovered a block of houses that were decked out in Halloween decorations on a drive one day, it was far but both Yinnie and Camora were determined to find it. "My- my parents can be annoying but- but at least they celebrate Halloween." Yinnie said, "It's kinda weird that they do, I always thought they were the kinda people that say everything's 'the devil'." Camora added, "No, they just think I'M the devil." Yinnie said, but she was instantly distracted. "Look!! Tiller Street!! We made it!!" "Jesus, that place is a fucking mansion." Camora pointed at the much larger house that overlooked the others. "If they've got the money for that house then- then they must have the money for some good candy!!" Camora followed behind Yinnie as she fearlessly walked right up to the house and rung the doorbell. Yinnie noticed Camora was standing behind her, "What's wrong?" she asked, then the door in front of her opened. "Trick-or-treat!!" Yinnie said, holding open a mostly empty bag. "Oh!!" Ayesha said, she couldn't help but laugh, "Aw, you two are so cute!! And you're STILL trick or treating, wow!! How old are you?" "Fourteen..." Yinnie answered nervously, Camora could feel anger boiling inside, Yinnie was falling for the same trap everyone does. "Fourteen, wow!! I stopped trick-or-treating after elementary school, but I guess some of us just mature faster." Ayesha said, from the way she was holding the bowl of candy Yinnie assumed she was holding it out for her to take one, so she reached towards the bowl- "No," Ayesha moved the bowl away from Yinnie's hands, "Sorry but this is for the children." she said in the most condescending way anyone possibly could. Yinnie was so excited, and Ayesha just drained every drop of that excitement from her eyes. Camora's adrenaline started to pump. "Good luck you gu- HEY!!" Ayesha started but Camora swiftly grabbed the bowl of candy she was holding and started booking it as fast as she could down the street. Yinnie, not knowing what else to do, ran after Camora so she wouldn't lose her. "FUCKING LOSERS!!! GIVE THAT BACK!!!" Ayesha shouted, she tried to chase after them but she didn't get very far in the heels she was wearing. Camora ran until she ran straight into a forest, she leaned against a tree and allowed herself to catch her breath. Yinnie ran into the forest a second after, she was a little scared she would loose Camora but she quickly eased up once she saw her. "Jackpot." Camora said as she passed the bowl full of candy to Yinnie, Yinnie just stared at her. Camora had gone completely out of her way to literally steal from someone with so much influence over their school and even their whole neighbourhood just because she had made fun of Yinnie. Now she was leaning against a tree, out of breath, her witch hat she had worked so hard on had fallen off while she was running, her messy hair framing her face so perfectly... Yinnie was having a hard time swallowing her feelings, she didn't know what to say apart from just "I love you". "You di- didn't have to do that." Yinnie said instead, Camora smiled at her, "I think I did." she said, she looked so pretty, Yinnie would've liked to kiss her, but that would be selfish, this was Camora's favourite holiday, Camora wanted a friend, it would be selfish of Yinnie to ruin what they had. It wasn't that Yinnie didn't love what they had already, she did, and she hated herself for feeling this way. "You're- you're the coolest person I've ever met." slipped out of Yinnie, Camora laughed, "Thanks?" she said like it was a question. Yinnie dumped half of the bowl into her bag and half into Camora's. They sat in the forest together for a while, eating their candy and telling stories of past Halloweens.
