Genya bolted out the house after Sanemi shoved the creature out of the house. The sun was rising slowly but it was still dark.

I have to find a doctor or someone to save my siblings thought Genya to himself. Suddenly Genya saw a bloodied Sanemi hovering over a small body holding a kitchen knife in his hand.

Genya ran up to Sanemi crying "Hiroshi, Teiko, Sumi, and Koto they, their de-" Genya's voice cut off as he saw what Sanemi was staring at.

Sanemi felt horrible and knew his brother would be devastated because of what Sanemi had done.

Genya collapsed down holding the corpse of their mom in his arms bawling his eyes out. The body was burning away which is what he didn't understand but didn't say anything about it because he was to angry.

"Why did you... You killed our mother!" yelled Genya still crying but now mad too. The body was bloodied but healing slowly which confused Sanemi.

"Why did you do it you bastard! Why did you kill our mother!" yelled Genya at the top of his lungs.

Suddenly a man came up behind them, he had short black hair and glowing red eyes with a twisted smile planted on his face. Sanemi stared at him in horror and then Genya turned around.

"You did this. You turned her into that creature! You demon!"

The man just stood and smiled his red eyes glowing in the somewhat darkness, his short black curly hair flowing in the light breeze.

He suddenly in the blink of an eye scratched Genya's head and he disappeared into the darkness.

Genya grabbed his head in pain and through tears. "Whats going on Genya! Are you ok?" Sanemi yelled terrified.

Suddenly Genya jumped up onto Sanemi knocking him off his feet and onto the ground. "No!" yelled Sanemi tearing up. "I only killed our mother to protect you!" yelled Sanemi using the axe to keep Genya from biting him.

"Your. One of those creatures now too? Aren't you." said Sanemi tears rolling down his face. Suddenly Genya started to cry too, Sanemi stared shocked. "Your. Not?" Sanemi asked now confused. Genya quickly moved and Sanemi sat up quickly and looked at his brother.

"What happened? Are you OK Genya?!" said Sanemi crawling over to him giving him a hug.

Genya tried to say something but couldn't, "Its OK you don't have to speak alright?" said Sanemi hugging his brother tighter.

Sanemi let go and grabbed Genya's hand. "Come on lets- " suddenly the suns heated beams broke through the darkness and Genya got up and jumped quickly into the house.

"Hey! Whats wrong?!" yelled Sanemi chasing after him into the darkened house in front of them.

Genya hid in the shadows and Sanemi went over to help him "It's OK!" Sanemi said shakily looking at Genya's eyes which are now black and yellow.

"Com-on we- we can leave!" Sanemi said loudly with a shaky voice. He grabbed Genya's hand and tried to grab him to leave, but Genya pulled his hand away.

Sanemi stopped and looked at him scared. "You can't go out there or you'll burn too. Won't you..." Sanemi said nervously. Genya quickly nodded and backed up farther against the wall tears forming in his eyes.

"Hey! Hey! No need to cry! We-we can just..." Sanemi paused for a moment and looked around for anything to carry his little brother in. He couldn't spot anything so he then continued and said "leave tonight. OK?" Genya nodded slowly.

Sanemi got up to shut the door and try to fix the lights that had been broken. He couldn't find the stool though so he went back over to where Genya was.

Genya was now sleeping with his head leaning against the wall. The cut on his face had stopped bleeding but left a scar on his face, probably because he got it before he was turned.

Sanemi brought a blanket and pillow over and lied Genya on the ground to sleep while Sanemi went to find something to carry him in.

Sanemi walked around the small town they lived in gathering supplies in the wagon and bringing them back to the house.

He ended up with, bamboo, a broken basket, a few pieces of cloth and some rope.

He wrapped the bamboo around the basket to fill in the rips and tears and grabbed his moms sewing kit from the kitchen shelf and sewed the cloth together to make a lid for the basket.

He then looped the rope through the basket so he could carry it.

Sanemi then went to the bedroom area to see his slaughtered siblings bodies laying on the ground.

He covered his nose at the stench and went to bury their bodies in the small yard behind the house.

After he finished he found Genya in the kitchen raiding the pantry. Sanemi stared for a moment and then burst out laughing at seeing Genya with a piece of bread in his mouth.

"Here." said Sanemi grabbing the stuff out of the cabinet and carrying them to the basket that he had made earlier that day.

"Can you get in here Genya?" asked Sanemi pointing to the basket. Genya looked at it and hopped in getting two times smaller than he was a moment ago.

Sanemi looked at his brother a bit shocked but then smiled and handed him the food he had beside the basket and Genya immediately started eating. "Hey! Save a little bit for me!" laughed Sanemi slightly smiling.

They sat for a while Sanemi on the ground and Genya in the basket, eating. Sanemi then waited for Genya to fall back asleep and picked the basket up ready to leave.

Sanemi quickly grabbed a few garden tools in case they were to encounter another one of the creatures that their mom and Genya had been turned into.

Sanemi turned to look at his village one last time while standing on the divided roads that led through the woods and to another village about ten miles off from theirs.

Sanemi sighed and turned to the woods and walked off through the woods awaiting to see what was on the other side.
