I speed walk towards the entrance of Seafood on the Shore. As I stand in front of the double doors I tucked my hair behind my ears and look around. Would he be inside or outside? I'm already outside on the porch so might as well start here.

I go to the right side of the porch, where it wraps around the whole building. I pass by each table not seeing a tall buzz cut man but others like couples and friends or even just a person enjoying their meal alone.

But when I make it to the back of the porch, where there's tables that overlook the ocean, I finally see him. He's facing me but doesn't see me quite yet. He's head is turned to watch the waves move and crash onto the shore. He plays with the gold ring on his left hand, lost in thought.

I slowly approach him. When I'm closer to the table he sees me and gives me a smile. "So, you did make it huh?"

I sit down in front of him, taking off my bag from my shoulder and placing it on my lap. "Why? Thought I wouldn't?", I smile and see a glass of water in front of me. "You didn't poison it right?"

Rafe chuckles and picks up my water, drinks it, and gives it back to me. "Nope. Not that much of an asshole."

"You literally drank my water."

"So? I just proved that I didn't poison it.", he smiles and hands me a menu. I can't help but smile back at him. He has those kind of smiles that are, for some reason, contagious.

"Ok, whatever. Thank you.", I grab it from him and start looking for exactly what I've been craving. This restaurant is like the one we have at Cut but just rich, fancy, and expensive. "Found it! Look.", I lean forward towards Rafe to show him the delicious meal.

"King crab legs with corn, shrimp, mussels and potatoes?", he looks at the menu than back at me.

"Yup, exactly.", I smile with happiness and slowing bopping my head up and down. He shakes his head a little and looks at his. But then I looked at the price. $75 just for one bag for one person.

"What's wrong?", he looks up and we look at each other. I shake my head, "Nothing. It's just that it's more expensive than what I thought. I knew it was expensive but still."

"It's ok, I got it. I need to pay you back anyways for letting having the last beer.", Rafe winks and laughs.

"The last good beer.", I point at him and I smile. He mirrors me and we hold eye contact for a while. I see him licking his lips while eying me up and down. "Hey," I snap in his face, "my eyes are up here." I point at my eyes and smirk at him.

"Yup, I knew that. Sorry, ma'am." We make some small convo until a man comes up to us and takes our order.

"Is that all for you guys today?", he asks. Rafe and I look at each other and shake our heads, "No, that's it. Thank you."

A few minutes pass and we finally get our meal. The smell of the Cajun and seafood hit my nose. When I open the bag of seafood boil all I thought was yup, it's over for you.
_____

"Thank you again, Rafe. That was so fucking good. Ughh.", just thinking about it makes me hungry again even though I'm going to pop from how full I am.

"You're welcome, Y/N. Anything for you.", Rafe says as we make it to his car in the parking lot.

"You're such a damn flirt."

"You think so?"

"I know so.", we stand there in silence for a bit until he talks.

"So, hopefully we'll each other again soon? You know, if you want.", I can tell this guy's trying to play it off.

"We'll see, Rafe. See you next time, hopefully. Bye!"

"Bye, Y/N. See you around!"

I start walking off to my car. But as I get near the parking space I parked it in, I see that my car isn't there anymore and it's empty. What the actual fuck??  Are you serious!? I pick up the ticket that was left on the ground to see that it's because... I parked in the fucking handicap space.

This is bullshit. There's 2 other handicap parking spots and I wasn't even at the restaurant that long. Gosh damn it! Whatever, it's okay. I can walk home or call my friend or... I know what I can do.

I run back to Rafe's car. As I run towards it, the car right next to his starts backing up almost kills me. Honk! Honnnkkkk! "Sorry! I'm sorry!"

"Y/N, what the fuck? Are you trying to kill yourself?", I make it to his car, in which he's yelling at me from the rolled down window.

"Rafe, I need a ride home please. They took my car cause I parked my car at the handicap spot. It wasn't even there for a long time!", I rant about it as he laughs until he shuts me up and pulls me into the passengers seat. I give him my address and we start driving.

"It's okay, Y/N. You can get it back tomorrow morning and maybe if you need help I can come with?", he looks over with a small smile.

"Are you inviting yourself to come with me as I get my car back?", I turn to him as he drives with music in the background.

"Not inviting myself, more like being there to help. You never know, you might need me there.", he winks and stares at me as I laugh.

"Ok, fine, pretty boy. Just keep your eyes on the road before we won't even be alive to get my car back.", I turn his head straight towards the road.

"Oh, so you think I'm 'pretty' huh?"

"Hmm, ok Rafe, don't get ahead of yourself.", I chuckled.

"See, you didn't say nooooo.", he looks at me with a smile and his eyes sparkling. I could literally get lost in those damn eyes.

"Ok, yeah, I do. So what?", I can expect defeat once.

We pull into my driveway and he puts the car into park. "Nothing, just that I think you are too."

"Don't play around with me, Rafe.", I shake my head.

"I'm not, I mean it. For real, Y/N. And not only are you pretty but your personality too. So, I'm going to just say I'm this right now cause why the fuck not. Would you want to go on a date with me? It doesn't have to be soon, just when you're available.", he looks at me and I see the hope inside of his eyes. I think about it for a second as we sit in silence. Fuck it.

"Why not, Rafe. But don't make me regret it.", I point at him and smile.

"O-ok, good. Uhh here, put your number in and I'll text you.", he hands me the phone quickly and blushes. This guy. Too cute. I put in my number and hand his phone back.

"I'll see you around and hopefully soon.", I wink at him and grab my bag.

"Hopefully. Goodnight, Y/N.", he says as I'm about to open the car door but I decide to do one last thing tonight. I lean towards Rafe and give him a kiss on the cheek.

"Goodnight to you too, Rafe.", I smile with him and get out of the car. "Don't dream about me too much, pretty boy!", I yell as I run up the stairs to my front door.
