Chapter 5 --Bentley's P.O.V

These girls were seriously the biggest bitches of life. Couldn't they just leave Lexi alone? The poor girl was just sitting there when they instigated a bitch fight, as always. Don't get me wrong, every man likes a cat fight here and there, but not so much when your sister is the one being bitched at.

When they pushed her in the water, that was it. I couldn't just sit there and pretend like these girls weren't bullying Lexi, especially since she lived here and they were guests. Lexi surfaced a few seconds later, and she didn't say anything. I was actually expecting her to murder Barbie 1&2 over there, but she just ignored them, grabbed her towel and made her way back to her chair. What was up with that towel anyways? It's like her life depended on it.

I'll admit, I was curious, but I mean, what was I going to do? Whatever it is, I have a hunch that it has to do with why she's here and not with her parents. Maybe her parents' beat her and she has bruises? I don't know but whatever it is, I'm not letting it happen to her again.

I was lost in thought when I heard heated voices. I looked up to see a horrified Lexi, looking at us for help.

"What do you think she's hiding Ash?" said Kelsy.

"I don't know Kelse, how about we find out?" Ashley replied.

Both girls grabbed the hem of the towel and just pulled. Lex tried to fight back, but it was too late and they were stronger. The girls jerked the towel off of her and I'm pretty sure we all saw it.

What the hell?

Her stomach had a lot of different lines, like she had string all over her stomach. Short segments and a really long one. It took a while for me to realise that they were scars, not string. What had happened to her? Did her parents do this to her?

I had so many questions but nothing came out. I was stunned into silence. We all were. Except Ashley and Kelsy, of course.

"EWWWWWW!" Ashley screamed.

"What the hell? She's even more ugly now, how is that even possible?" Kelsy added.

Lexi looked traumatized. Tears welled up in her eyes and she looked ready to bolt. That's when Aaron, yes, I repeat, Aaron-that-was-mean-to-Lexi-ever-since-she-got-here, told them off.

"Ashley, Kelsy, I think you should leave." He said calmly, a hint of anger in his voice.

"Um, well I think she should be the one leaving, don't you think? Who the hell is she anyways, who invited her?" Ashley spat.

"She's our sister you stupid blond. Now I'm not going to repeat, get the fuck out Ash, or I swear I'll get you out myself." He retorted.

Damn he looked pissed. He literally growled the last few words he said to them. For the first time in a very long while, I was proud of Aaron.

Aaron P.O.V

I couldn't believe these girls. Sure they were hot and worthy of the Sports Illustrated cover page, but Lexi WAS my sister. I know i was a jerk to her, but it was just because I was pissed mom changed the rules. I hated that I had to be fully clothed at all times and that whatever Lexi wanted, we were to give her. But still, she was doing her own thing all alone and the girls just lashed out at her for no reason.

When they pulled off her towel, I couldn't believe what I was seeing. From where I was, all I saw were scars about 2 inches long spread out across her back, but when she turned around, I could see that she had even more on her stomach. She looked like a dear caught in the headlights. All my brothers held the same expression and I probably was the same. Our mouths fell open. She was so small, to fragile how could her body survive such an attack. What were these anyways? Stab wounds?

At that moment, I knew there was more to Alexa Sanders, now Teller, than just a pretty face and new rules. She'd been through something I didn't wish on my worse enemy.
