Yuya sat in a rather comfortable chair across from Zarc's desk in his office, feeling a bit less nervous than before. Knowing that Zarc, whom Yuya considered a friend, was the CEO of the Phantom Corporation and the one interviewing him made the tomato-head feel slightly more relaxed and at ease as the interview began.
"So Yuya, can you tell me a bit about yourself and your journey so far?" Zarc asked. Though he knew quite a bit about Yuya, there was still a lot about him that he didn't know. Besides, even though he'd already decided to hire Yuya, the interview still needed to sound normal so that his other employees wouldn't complain that Yuya was hired without question.
"I've been passionate about performing arts for as long as I can remember," Yuya said. "I grew up in a creative environment, always surrounded by music and dance. Currently, I'm studying Performing Arts at university, which has really deepened my understanding and skills in acting, singing, and dancing."
Zarc knew Yuya's university degree, though he hadn't realized just how long the tomato-head had been into the performing arts. He made a mental note as he asked the second question, "What are your passions outside of work? How do they influence your perspective?"
"Outside of my studies, I love playing various musical instruments and experimenting with new styles," Yuya replied "I also enjoy gymnastics and acrobatics, which add a dynamic element to my performances. These activities keep me active and inspire my creativity."
"What do you think about the current trends in the creative industries?" Zarc asked. Yuya thought for a moment, then replied, "I think the creative industries are evolving rapidly, especially with the rise of digital media. There's a greater demand for versatile performers who can adapt to different platforms, which I find exciting. It pushes us to be more innovative and to explore new ways of expressing ourselves."
Zarc nodded in agreement, and asked, "Where do you see yourself in the next few years? What are your long-term goals?"
"In the next few years, I hope to be involved in diverse projects that challenge me creatively, whether in theater, film, or even musical performances," Yuya replied "Ultimately, I want to connect with audiences and inspire them through my art."
Zarc made another mental note, this one to get Yuya a foot into the performing arts industry later. It was the industry that the CEO was currently looking into for the Phantom Corporation, and he'd seen Yuya in a play before during the university's winter performance. The tomato-head was a very good actor, and Zarc had no doubt that he'd make it big in the industry. But at the moment, this interview was for the fashion industry, so Zarc continued, "How do you handle new challenges or unexpected situations?"
"I thrive on challenges!" Yuya said happily. "In my current job, I often face scheduling conflicts due to my classes, but I've learned to communicate effectively and advocate for myself. Flexibility is key in both performing and in life, and I embrace it."
"What role do you typically take in team settings? Are you more of a leader or a collaborator?" Zarc asked, though he was pretty sure he knew Yuya well enough to know the answer. After all, Yuya was a performer, and that was a highly collaborative pursuit.
"I like to think of myself as a strong collaborator," Yuya confirmed. "In performances, I enjoy supporting my peers while also stepping up to lead when necessary. I believe that great art comes from teamwork and shared vision."
"How do you feel about presenting yourself in front of an audience or a camera?" Zarc asked. This time he knew the answer, but he had to ask for the sake of the job position he was planning to offer Yuya.
"I view presenting myself on stage as a way to connect with others," Yuya replied "It can be nerve-wracking, but I've learned to channel that energy into my performances. I see it as a powerful opportunity to tell stories and evoke emotions."
"Can you give an example of a time you received constructive criticism? How did you respond?" Zarc asked. Yuya replied, "I once received feedback that my performances were too safe. It was tough to hear, but I took it as a challenge and started experimenting more with my expressions and movements. That criticism helped me grow significantly as a performer."
"What attracted you to the Phantom Corporation and this opportunity?" Zarc asked. He was genuinely interested in the answer. After all, Yuya had encouraged him to pursue his dream of running a massive multi-industry company, and Zarc wanted to know what he thought of it.
"I was drawn to the Phantom Corporation because of its reputation for nurturing unique talent. I admire companies that value creativity and innovation, and I can see myself thriving in such an environment," Yuya said. It was true too, he'd been very intrigued with what he'd read about the Phantom Corporation online.
Zarc was very pleased with Yuya's response, and asked the final question, "What values are most important to you in a work environment?"
"For me, a positive and supportive work environment is crucial," Yuya replied "I believe in collaboration, respect, and open communication. I've experienced the opposite in my current job, which has made me appreciate these values even more."
"Well, I must say, I'm thoroughly impressed with your passion and talent," Zarc said. "You have a unique energy that I believe would be a perfect fit for what we're doing at the Phantom Corporation. I know this may seem a bit sudden, but I'd like to extend an offer to you right now. We see a lot of potential in you, and I think you'd bring something special to our team. How do you feel about joining us? We can discuss the details further, but I truly believe you'll thrive in this environment and have the opportunity to showcase your skills in ways you might not have imagined."
"You mean I've actually got the job?" Yuya asked, hardly daring to believe it. Zarc nodded. "I've really enjoyed our conversation today. Your passion for performing arts and your unique talents truly stand out. I'm excited to offer you a position with us at the Phantom Corporation."
"Thank you!" Yuya said excitedly. "I'm thrilled! But... what exactly will I be doing?"
"Great question!" Zarc said, smiling broadly. "The Phantom Corporation's fashion agency represents a diverse range of talent, and we believe your background in performance arts, along with your physical abilities, will be a perfect fit for our upcoming projects. You'll be modeling, but it's not just about looking good—it's about embodying characters and narratives, much like you do in your performances."
"Modeling?" Yuya asked, surprised. "I didn't realize that was the role."
Zarc nodded, "Absolutely! We're looking for someone who can bring depth and artistry to our campaigns. You'll have the opportunity to express yourself and collaborate with creative teams, just like you would in theater or dance. We think you'll thrive in this environment."
"That sounds intriguing! I'm open to it," Yuya said. Zarc beamed, "Fantastic! We're excited to have you on board. Let's discuss the next steps and get you started!"
