Abhimaan and Ruhanika were looking at each other intently sharing the unspoken words. But a knock brought them out of their revior.
"Abhi...beta thik ho ab?" Said a worried dadi entering.
Abhimaan and Ruhanika got startled and Ruhanika got up whereas abhimaan sat properly on bed before replying "ji dadi...Mai thik hu ab"
Dadi nodded and caressed his cheek, "atharv ne btaya...kyu krta h aisi laparwahi...dhyan rakhna chahiye na" she scolded him.
Abhimaan smiled and said sorry.
"Chalo...aaram kro tum dono... Ruhanika beta tm abhi ke saath hi rho...Mai khana bhijwa dungi" she said turning to Ruhanika.
"Ji dadi" said Ruhanika nodding her head.
As soon as Dadi left, abhimaan pulled her back and layed on her lap. Ruhanika smiled.
"Abhimaan...I bought something for you" she said.
"Really...show me" abhimaan jumped out of her lap and exclaimed excitedly.
Ruhanika chuckled looking at him. She got up nodding her head and searched the shopping bags.
Meanwhile abhimaan was on cloud nine thinking she bought something for him. It was for the first time when someone bought something for him without any reason. Otherwise although he would receive gifts from office and buisness, he never celebrated his birthday nor liked taking gifts. But today was different...his wife bought it...so he would definitely have it.
Ruhanika turned smiling to him, hiding the gift behind her. She kneeled in front of him on floor and smiled. Abhimaan was confused.
"Abhimaan I don't know you will like it or not...but it's just that I saw this and immediately thought about you...I felt it would look good on you...so I brought it...it's okay if you don't like it" she said with a small smile forwarding the box.
It was a black box with a ribbon on it. Abhimaan opened the box and was suprised. It was a black QUARTZ watch, a solid one which suited his demeanor.

Abhimaan had tears in his eyes. He looked at Ruhanika and smiled. He felt overwhelmed looking at the watch. It was simple yet decent and beautiful.
"You liked it?" She asked
"Like? I love it, rooh" he said happily hugging her.
She smiled and hugged him back.
"You know this is the first gift I received, after more than 22 years. Thank you so much...I loved it" He said smiling. She got confused hearing him. She got up and say beside him.
