Kang Ra-Eun was reminded of her memories from before she had become a high school girl as she looked down at the decrepit Kim Han-Gyo. Park Geon-Woo had been forcibly dragged into the mountains by Kim Chi-Yeol and his men, and had met his death there. As if his desire for revenge had broken through the cycle of life itself, he had grasped the opportunity to return to the past.

Of course, he had ended up returning not as Geon-Woo but Ra-Eun due to some mishaps, but that was not important right now. No, she might only have been able to be in this exact situation because she had returned not as Geon-Woo, but a complete third-party individual like Ra-Eun.

Han-Gyo had one thing that he wanted to ask Ra-Eun no matter what.

“What have I done to you for you to...”

Han-Gyo could not understand at all. Not only had he never caused harm to Ra-Eun in any way, they had almost nothing in common. He wouldn’t be this frustrated if he had excessively caused her harm, but he couldn’t accept why he had to suffer this much in her hands when he had done absolutely nothing to her.

Ra-Eun knew that her revenge might seem very illogical in Han-Gyo’s perspective. The person that she should be taking revenge against was the Han-Gyo of her previous timeline that had driven her to her death and turned it into an unjust suicide. The current Han-Gyo had not betrayed her nor had any intentions to, but Ra-Eun did not consider that to be important.

‘Even if he hadn’t done anything to me in this life...’

“...You’ve committed far too much evil.”

Ra-Eun was not the only victim. From the beginning to now, Han-Gyo had risen to his current position through the blood and tears of others. Ra-Eun had only managed to find out the entirety of his crimes recently. Her revenge was also for those victims, in a sense. Han-Gyo had sinned far too much.

Han-Gyo could not refute that in any way since it was true. Ra-Eun sighed softly and turned her gaze to the medical device next to the hospital bed. This small and cold machine was Han-Gyo’s lifeline.

“Someone I know once told me that a person’s death can be easily fabricated these days.”

It could be made as an extreme decision from depression, or a medical accident. The current Ra-Eun was able to fabricate Han-Gyo’s death however she wanted. This was the end that she had in mind for him.

Han-Gyo’s eyes shook violently. A terror that he had never felt before swept over him. He had never even dreamed to feel such a thing from a girl far younger than him, and neither did Ra-Eun.

‘I never expected to be taking my revenge in this form.’

She turned to the medical device and slowly walked toward it. So Ha-Jin stared at her anxiously.

“Chairwoman.”

Ra-Eun slightly turned her head toward her.

“What...?”

“...It’s nothing.”
Ha-Jin was unable to bring the words that she was thinking of out of her mouth. She did not want to see Ra-Eun taking someone’s life. If Ra-Eun did, Ha-Jin felt like the Ra-Eun that she knew would disappear forever. Ra-Eun also had an idea of what Ha-Jin wanted to say.

“...”

She stretched her arm out toward the machine without a word. Han-Gyo could only stare as Ra-Eun moved toward the machine without hesitation. He no longer had the strength to resist; the only thing that he could do was to watch as Ra-Eun forcibly ended his life.

Vrrrr.

Ra-Eun’s phone suddenly vibrated. She was swept with all kinds of thoughts as she stared at the name that was on the display.
