I forgot to highlight the key for the vigenere cipher last chapter, the key is Dream demon. I'll fix it maybe next time. This chapter is kinda rushed though.

"Seriously, I thought that those three won't be doing anything funny."

(Y/n) was still in her triangle form and is currently in the mindscape. Everything was white, except for the patch of grass around the demon. She was sitting on a log, a bonfire in front of her while she's roasting a marshmallow.

She was reminiscing. 

The last thing she remembered before getting turned into a stone statue was going to the Shrine, to wait for the other Toman members. There was a weird calling coming from the trees nearby so she decided to check it out. She followed it and was met face to face with an old lady who wanted to make a deal with her.

To make the story short, it was one of the Fates that decided to turn her into a stone statue. She's dumb enough to fall for it, because she can't figure out who that old lady is and wanted to figure who it was. She's basically against fate, so her abilities didn't work.

As long as she haven't paid for her crimes, they're the ones in control of her 'human' life. 

Damn Fates.

To think that they're pulling the strings, so that despite (Y/N) and Takemichi's efforts, everything will still happen as originally as it is. Although, in a different way.

For (Y/N), she was mad because she was tricked. Again.

How many times did she got tricked? 

This time, not by mere mortals but Fates. Did the Ol' Lotl allowed them to mess with her? Most likely.

Maybe it has something to do with her own 'fate'. Something she doesn't actually believe, since she's a powerful demon. If she wants to, she could basically destroy the world.

"Staying here to demand answers won't do you no good," A voice said, it seems to come from every direction so it's hard to pinpoint where it came from. "Go back to the real world."

Just hearing that voice makes (Y/N) roll her eye. She can already picture out her wry smile. Maybe she shouldn't have challenged the Fates, but even so, they don't usually meddle with demons. They mostly meddle with mortals' affairs.

So, what's the exception with her? 

'Was it because I got turned into human?' (Y/N) can't help but wonder. It's a possibility. A question that she herself can't answer.
