***[Third Person Pov]***
Vincent glanced at Speed's paw before accepting the pawshake.
Speed asked, "So, Vincent, since you've been wandering in the forest for an hour, do you have any parents with you?"
Parents... The word flooded his mind with memories of his past life.
He felt a pang of sadness, He let out a soft sigh.
"I... actually, I'm on my own. I don't have any parents," he replied, his voice barely above a whisper, as if he were afraid to say it out loud.
"Oh, so you're just like us?" Speed asked.
"Huh?" Vincent replied, puzzled.
"Since my siblings and I hatched, we've never met our parents. We've been on our own," Speed clarified.
"O-oh..." Vincent glanced away, scratching the back of his head.
Then, the other Eevee forcefully cleared her throat.
"Did you forget something?" she inquired.
"Oh! Sorry," he said, apologizing.
"Vincent, these are my siblings," Speed mentioned, gesturing towards the two Eevees.
"Hi, I'm Crystal," she said with a smile.
"I'm Solarlare, just call me flare," the other Eevee added, shyly lifting a paw in greeting.
"Uhh... nice to meet you,"
Vincent said, waving a paw in a slow, awkward motion.
Then, Flare approached him and said,
"I'm really sorry for getting you in trouble," his face showing genuine guilt."No need to apologize! It's not your fault," Vincent replied, giving Flare a gentle pat on the head.
Wow, he's adorable.
Well, all Eevees are cute, but seriously, this is the highlight of his new life, petting a "real" Eevee.
He couldn't help but think about how much he loved these little fox-like creatures.
He remembered the countless hours he spent watching Pokemon anime, and now, he was actually touching one! It felt surreal, a dream come true.
"Hi, I'm Crystal," she said, approaching Vincent and extending her paw for a shake.
"Hold on, you just introduced yourself twice," he replied, looking puzzled.
"Oh, my bad! Silly me," she said, tucking her paw behind her head and playfully sticking out her tongue.
Vincent, however, didn't seem amused.
He could tell she was just being playful, but a bit annoying.
That was a bit awkward.
Then Speed spoke, "So... since you're alone, without parents..."
He hesitated for a moment, but then he just said it.
"Maybe you could live with us?" he suggested.
"Ok," Vincent replied casually, showing no signs of hesitation.
The atmosphere turned awkward.
Silence enveloped them until Crystal took his paw.
"Come with us! We're going to show you our treehouse," she exclaimed, pulling Vincent along. Flare trailed behind them.
Speed shook off his thoughts.
Did he just blurt it out without a second thought?
It made sense, though.
With Vincent being alone, his life must be pretty lonely...
So, he didn't mind it and followed Crystal and Flare as they welcomed a new friend, or perhaps just a roommate into their treehouse.
About Vincent...
Reflecting on his old life... it's better off forgotten...
(A Few Minutes Later)
After being introduced to the three Eevees named Speed, Crystal, and Flare, and with Speed's permission for Vincent to stay with them, Crystal took it upon herself to show him around their home.
It wasn't too bad, despite the playful antics she pulled during the tour.
Now, Vincent sat at the table in the living room, lost in thought.
***[Vincent's Pov]***
So, Pokemons having houses... That means I'm in Pokemon Mystery Dungeon.
But the weird part is, I still remember my past life, huh?
Hmmmm... think, Vincent... think... If I still have my memories, then... do I have some kind of overpowered abilities?
No... that can't be right, I suppose...
As I pondered over a theory, Speed appeared.
"Hey, you alright?" he asked, showing some concern.
"Yeah, just lost in thought," I replied.
"What's on your mind?" he pressed.
"It's... never mind, it's not really important," I said.
"Oh, alright?" he responded, looking a bit puzzled.
but he gave me a small nod.
Speed tried to give him a space, even though he was still little worried.
He headed to the kitchen.
As I watch Speed head into the kitchen, I can't help but keep mulling over my theory.
If this is a PMD, then why do I still have memories of my past life?
Do I possess some kind of extraordinary powers, or am I going to evolve to a Unknown Eeveelution?
Or maybe I just have abilities that defines the rules of Pokemon? Hmmmmmmm...
While I'm deep in thought, I feel a poke on my back. I jump and turn around to see Crystal.
"Jeez, don't scare me like that!" I exclaim.
"Oops, sorry," she replies, sticking her tongue out playfully.
Ugh... I'm stuck living with that annoying Muffin...
