Getting to know each other

Balloon's POV:

Me and Disc start our trek back to the hotel as I noticed that it was getting dark"hurry up CD it almost dark"I told him"o-okay... "I could hear his voice shake behind me. We walked for about 4 minutes, as the sun had almost set completely. The kid runs up to me and latches onto my hand, shaking. It caught me off guard, and I wondered if the kid was afraid of the dark, so I did, what I thought was right.... Ask"you afraid of the dark?" I ask calmly, he then nods to my question. I suddenly had this feeling in my chest, that I don't understand, I felt like I needed to stop and comfort CD but, I didn't since we were getting close to the hotel. Some bushes rustled which scared the CD, I saw some tears in his eyes form. Right now, I wanted to comfort him that it's going to be okay but, I stopped myself. What is happening to me?

*Few minutes later*

We then arrive at the front of the hotel, I look down at Disc, his eyes still closed. I chuckle a bit at this before nudging him"hey kid, we're here" I told him. He then opens his eyes, and he looks at the hotel in awe"woah... " I silently laugh at him"what you never seen a hotel before?" I ask him"I have but, not as big as this!" He says. Huh... So he does know about hotels."ok, well then." I crouch down at his level"I need to tell you rules before we enter, is that good with you?" I ask"mhm! Sure I'll follow them!" He answered, I smile a bit at this, and I began to tell him some rules and the hotels routine.

(A/N: not gonna write all the rules but it's common sense)

"Now, I am gonna introduce you to the owner of this hotel, you behave ok?"" Ok!" The kid says with a big smile. I chuckle before standing up and start going inside the hotel, Disc following me behind. As soon as we entered, he hid behind me. I was confused by this but I brushed it off as I needed to talk to Oj, we did get glances, but I couldn't care less about it."Balloon!" A voice called to me. I turn around to see mephone walking towards me. "Where have you been?"he asked" Well I was just, taking a walk, you know the usual." I answered him, Disc peaks behind me and looks at mephone, mephone also noticed him.

Third Person POV:

ephone and CD disc look at each other's eyes, disc then cowers back behind balloon, mephone then crouched down at the kids level and started to speak"hello there.. Buddy" He says followed by an awkward laugh, balloon could hear it, mephone was definitely not used to a new face in the hotel."h-hi..." Disc replies quietly almost like a whisper but not quiet enough to not be heard by mephone. Mephone looks at the kid in shock, he never really expected the kid ti actually say hi to him.

Mephone's POV:
Well.... That was, something I guess. I quickly regained my composure as I stand up"who is this kid?" I asked him pointing at the kid behind his back."him? He's CD disc, I.. Found him in the forest and I decided to take home with me."he replies, wait- in THE FOREST!?"WH-WHA I-i-... What?"I ask dumbfounded"what about his parents?""he is actually an orphan, and he doesn't actually want to go back to the orphanage, so I thought why not take him here?"well, he does have a point.. "Well you should probably tell that to oj you know." I said"yeah, yeah. I know." He replies, almost as if he doesn't want to tell oj. I leave the two be on their own, minding my own business.

Balloon's POV:
(Back to balloon's POV yay🥳)

I look at mephone as he walks away. That... Was... Weird to say the least"he was nice.." I hear disc say. I only hummed in response as we went into oj's office.
Standing in front of the door, I then knocked hearing oj's voice telling me to come in. Oj looks up, away from his piles among piles of paperwork, damn this dude really needs a break right now.. "Oh! Hey balloon, what brings you here?" Oj asked. I take a quick peek behind me before composing myself"Oj, I would like to introduce you to CD disc. He... He will be staying in the hotel." I said. I was ready for what oj was gonna say, if it means this kid can stay I will be-"ok" He said bluntly...
I never expected him to actually agree so easily."th-thats it?" I ask"yeah, well as long as he has a guardian, then everything's all good." He then looks at the clock, seeing it was already 7:28 pm "sigh I should probably make dinner, I call you guys whenever it's ready" Oj then stands up and walks away. I nudge disc to then follow me into my room, well shared room with nickel. As we got to my room, I opened it expecting nickel to be Inside but, I didn't see any signs of him anywhere. Hmm guess he must have been somewhere else. Disc then runs inside, hopping on the bed and then laying down"chuckle this bed is so soft!" He squeals, and shakes his hands. Huh.. Do kids do that? I shrugged it off, as I sat down at my bed"yeah it is pretty soft.."
I look at the kid who has a smile on  his face, and I couldn't help but smile as well at the sight of disc having fun, what is this feeling? I start to ponder more and more as disc just casually kicks his leg at the edge. *what am I feeling? What is it? Why can't I PUT MY FINGER ON IT!* ughhh... It's useless I can't think of anything!"DINNERS READY!"my thoughts get interrupted as I heard paper call everyone that it's already time to eat"hey kid, let's go downstairs, food is ready" I told him"okay!" He jumps off the bed and starts walking downstairs with me, maybe if just give it time, I'll know it eventually, but for now, I should just live in the moment and don't think about anything else today.
