Chapter 78It seemed like a long time had passed, but because of the silence in the room and the complicated mood, Dazai Osamu didn't notice the passage of time at all. He just heard a slight sound coming from beside him - it was probably the sound of the wooden door being pushed open.
Analysis has become a habit for Dazai Osamu, even more than his independent thinking. After a while, Dazai Osamu saw a pair of shoes on the ground in front of him, and he didn't react to what happened - until there was a voice in his ear.
"Excuse me, are you Dazai Osamu?"
Dazai Osamu raised his head suddenly, and what came into view was the face of Tsushima Onki. Dazai Osamu remembered that voice, and didn't know how long Tsushima Onki had been waiting here, and behind him were Florian and his group.
Tsushima Onki saw that Dazai Osamu finally came back to his senses, and smiled comfortingly. If you don't look closely, I'm afraid you won't be able to catch the panic in his eyes. He smiled gently and nodded: "It seems that I didn't recognize the wrong person."
This is not quite the same scene as Dazai Osamu imagined.
Before entering each dungeon, Dazai Osamu had imagined what he would do if he met the young Tsushima Onju. But no matter how many careful plans he made in his mind, or how clear his goals were, they all shattered when he saw the real person. He stood there, opened his mouth, and didn't even know how to answer Tsushima Onju's questions. ... He
was actually not surprised that Tsushima Onju knew who he was.
"Yes," Dazai Osamu heard himself say. Two pairs of similar iris-colored eyes crossed time and space and mountains and seas. When they met at this moment, he could clearly see himself in Tsushima Onju's eyes, and pretended to put on a barely acceptable smile, "I am Dazai Osamu."
They all knew each other's identities, and they all knew that "Dazai Osamu" and Tsushima Shuji were basically the same person.
But strangely, Tsushima Onju didn't point out the relationship between them, as if Dazai Osamu was just a passer-by in his life, and he met Dazai Osamu for the first time today.
"Nice to meet you, Dazai-kun."
Tsushima Onuki curved his eyebrows and extended his hand to Dazai Osamu who was slowly standing up. His fingers were slender, and the blue veins were clearly visible under his pale skin.
"I am Tsushima Onuki." He said, "Maybe you have something to tell me?"
Dazai Osamu was stunned.
After a long time, he slowly said, "Yes."
Dazai Osamu was familiar with every corner of the Tsushima family. There was no other reason for this, but he liked to play hide-and-seek when he was a child, enjoying the feeling that no one in the family could catch him - but at the same time he felt inexplicably lonely. Tsushima Onuki was very busy and had to deal with a lot of affairs every day. After all, their father was just a decoration. Only after he was done with his work would he have time to look for his younger brother. Tsushima Shuji
was a child after all. He hid in the corner with nothing to eat, nothing to drink, and nothing else to do. All he could do was wait, and he often fell asleep against a wall. He often woke up in the arms of his eldest brother, and the pair of arms that looked thin and had no strength supported his weight. Tsushima Onuki is a very stubborn person. Even if he has no strength left, he will not let Tsushima Shuji be held by others.
