Cassie's worry and a confused crow.

It's been long harsh months since they had left the city behind.

The time they spent in the dream realm had reached about a year and month now.

Battling and slaying nightmare creatures they shouldn't have seen nor touched as sleepers.

Yet they did.
And yet they managed to come out alive.

They had managed to climb over the cities walls as they made their way back.

After arriving at the castle gates.

Many people voiced their relief and joy of their return but it quickly died down when they saw what the huntress was carrying.

It wasn't long after that they yelled for the crows head.

But none of them allowed it.

They refused it.

Even though the crow has been asleep for the better parts of 5 months now.

He was an invaluable helper at scaring of the abominations that dared to encroach on them.

That fastened their journey a lot and they were able to grow much more and quicker with its help.

"No one is to touch the crow!

Despite all beliefs, the crow has helped us on our journey!"

Said nephis in a loud voice.

A lot of murmuring went through the crowd but in the end they listened to who they called "Saint Nephis".

She felt a bit embarrassed from the title and guilty.

Because at first she was ready to deem everyone to death.

But she didn't have the heart to tell them.

It would only cause huge trouble.

They had confronted gunlaug after their return and some rest.

He..actually was ready to cooperate.

As they had brought the sleeping Herald with them.

They were pretty sure the crow was a major help here aswell.

So they always made sure to have him close by.

It was also good to protect him and them but sunny and nephis had disagreed with that after some thought

And cassie, seemed to voice a different opinion aswell.

She didn't want him to be used as some kind of tool.

He was still human.

Albeit if only half.

So they brought him to their lodge as cassie stayed with him and the others occasionally going out to hunt for shards and food.

Hearing that everyone was asleep to fully rest from their journey, cassie tried to feel her way to zero.

It took her a good while but finally feeling fluffy feathers in her hands she embraced it letting her body fall into it slowly.

'It's really comfortable..'

She thought and sighed.

"When will you wake up?" She muttered out as she had some thoughts she was trying to organise.

She has gotten a vision or two in the last few months.

As she thought back to them.
