☁︎Visenya held her maid, Lusia Cartwell, hand as they walked down the corridor to her chambers. Her mother had told her and her brothers to prepare for supper, and she had told Visenya to change into a new dress, as hers was covered in dirt.
Luisa had been picked by her mother and had only been told the girl had a vivid imagination. Though Luisa knew that was not true, as the many things Visenya had told her since she was very young, Luisa would never tell another soul for as long as she lived. She would rather be put to the blade than see what the Queen would subject the young Princess to.
As they entered her chambers, two dresses were already laid out, and a smile rose to Visenya's face as she saw her friend Daenerys. The girl, who was only a year younger than her in age, though not in death, turned to her and smiled, waving her over. Daenerys had light blue lips, and her eyes showed tiredness as she wore her nightgown, symbolizing what she had endured.
Visenya let go of her maid's hand and hurried over to her friend, who was reading from one of the books she had picked out. Visenya had told Luisa to flip the pages when she was not in the room, so her friend could read. "Where have they gotten to?" Visenya asked as Luisa picked one of the dresses and put the other away.
"They have just arrived at the gates of Shadowspire," Daenerys answered, giving her a smile. "Is she here?" Luisa asked softly. Daenerys hopped as someone acknowledging her made her smile.
Visenya gave her maid a nod as Luisa looked beside the young girl with a soft smile. "Hello, Daenerys. How has your day been?" Luisa asked, causing the greyed girl to giggle as she answered Visenya, "Good, I just reached the nineteenth page."
Visenya looked to her maid, repeating the words, causing her to nod, "We need to change you out of your dress, seeing as you have been in the dirt." Luisa says, making the little girl nod and make her way over as her maid held up the dress.
Daenerys returned to the book as Luisa had picked the black dress and helped Visenya into it. The dress had embroidered dragon designs on it. Her mother had the dress made for her, and Rhaenyra always wore a proud smile when she saw her daughter wear it.
Once Luisa had fully dressed her and brushed her hair out, Visenya ran over to Daenerys. "I must go to supper, though tell me about it over breakfast," Visenya said, causing the girl to nod as Visenya turned the page. Daenerys waved at her as she left the room, followed closely by her maid as they made their way to her mother's chamber for supper.
As the doors opened she saw her mother at the table while each of her brothers had taken their spots. Rhaenyra gave her a soft smile seeing her daughter in the dress. Visenya took her spot by Luke as Luisa walked from the room to return to her book turning duty.
Rhaenyra who was sat at the head of the table watched her children begin to eating, "Will it be another boy?" Visenya spoke up as the silence got to her.
Rhaenyra smiled, looking at her only daughter, "We never know until it's time. It could be a sister or brother." She tells her daughter as Jace scoffs.
"It would not be so bad to have another brother." He says, watching his sister's face scrunch up at the mention. "But, I want a sister. Another sister would be equal." Visenya says, making her mother lean over, brushing a hand through her daughter's hair.
"A time will come. If it is another boy, nothing will change." Rhaenyra says, leaning back into her chair and watching her daughter shake her head. "I hope that time comes soon." She says as she continues to eat.
As dinner came to a close, the siblings scattered. Jace and Luke went to their rooms as Visenya went to her own. Luisa helped the young girl into her bed as the door opened.
