As Luisa got the girl under the covers, she turned, hearing the door open. She felt her shoulders fall as she saw it was Rhaenyra. She knew the girl would be safe. Luisa bowed her head as Rhaenyra walked in. "You may be excused," Rhaenyra smiled as she told Luisa, who returned the smile and left the room.

Rhaenyra walked towards her daughter's bed with a book, not forgetting her promise. "Do you wish to know the meaning?" She asked her daughter as she stood by the bed.

Visenya nodded quickly as she jumped over to make room for her mother to sit. Rhaenyra smiled softly as she sat on the bed, leaning on the headboard, while Visenya laid her head on her mother's shoulder.

Visenya watched as her mother opened the book, making her speak up, "It is a Calluna." She felt her mother's head gently fall onto hers as she flipped through the pages before finally landing on the word.

The page contained a drawing of the flower on her nightstand beside her bed. "It says here that the Calluna flower symbolizes solidarity and protection," Rhaenyra says, making Visenya lift her head.

"Does that mean it will protect me?" Visenya asks, making her mother smile. "If you believe it to be. You never know what can hold power." Her mother says, making her nod as she lies back down on the bed.

Rhaenyra stood as her daughter scooted back over where her mother had been. She placed the blankets over her daughter and moved the book to the chair beside the bed.

"Mother, could you give me the flower?" Visenya asked, making her mother nod and pick the flower up, handing it to her. "It shall protect me from bad dreams," she told her mother, making her laugh.

She placed it beside her on the pillow and pulled the blankets up to her neck. As she closed her eyes, she felt her mother place a kiss on her forehead, and then she heard the door open and close.

The following morning, she was shaken awake by her maid, Luisa, who had already laid out a dress. Visenya slipped out of her bed and took her nightgown off, letting Luisa put her dress on.

Her mother had it made for her in both house colors. It was her favorite dress, and her father, Laenor, loved it from the moment he saw it. After her dress came her hair, which was quite simple.

The door opened, revealing her father, who made her jump up and smile. "Father! Have you come to join us for breakfast?" she asked, making him smile softly before saying, "I have, my dearest."

Luisa smiled as she finished the young girl's hair and patted her shoulders. Visenya ran over to her father, wrapping her arms around his waist and making him rub her back with a smile before she pulled away, taking his hand. The two made their way to her mother's chambers, where her mother took her seat. She noticed her brothers were yet to arrive, but she smiled as she noticed Daenerys standing by her chair with a broad smile, looking at the pregnant woman.

"What is it to be?" Daenerys asked as Visenya let go of her father's hand and hurried over to her seat next to her mother. "We have yet to know. What would you think it is?" she asked, looking at her friend who stood beside her. Rhaenyra and Laenor shared a look as Visenya happily spoke to a person they could not see. Soon after, though, her two brothers came rushing in for food as they hurriedly took their seats.

They paid no attention to their sister, who spoke to the air as they began to eat. Rhaenyra worried for her daughter's future if they were to stay at court, as when she grew up, they would quickly take notice. Also, if Visenya were to wed, what would the person believe if she did what she was doing now?

Rhaenyra shook her thoughts from her head and began to eat, listening to Luke's rambles. She kept a close eye on her daughter, who, it seemed, didn't notice them in the room. Jace's eyes would frequently look to his sister and then to the door, always staying vigilant should someone not in their little group walk in. He was more than prepared to make it seem she was speaking to him even though he knew nothing of what she spoke about.

- I took it out of the early chapters, but Rhaenyra promised to read the flower book to Visenya after she had asked; sorry if it was confusing.-
