Part 9

"So uhm, I think I like Kenny..." 

AJ stared at Sharky who was sat on a beanbag chair on the other side of Chunkz room. After Niko had dropped AJ home, Aj had gone over to Chunkz's house to hear the 'important announcement' Sharky had gathered them for. 

"Oh- you two close?" AJ asks.

"Uh, Kinda I guess. He approached me after school today, whilst you were doing your extra work and I was waiting for Amin. He asked me if I wanted to go somewhere." 

"Where?"

"Hmm, he didn't really explain. He just said to follow him, but I told him I was waiting for Amin." Sharky explains.

"Well has he messaged you?" Chunkz prys, munching on his  popcorn. 

"I- yeah, ever since the groupchat was made he's been messaging me since," Sharky blushes.

"AWWWW, HES BLUSHING!" Chunkz squeels, "Good for you brother, genuinely. Kenny's a real sweetheart, a little bit of a slag, but when he loves, he loves hard."

"I hope so. I hope he's not just using me you know?" Sharky mumbles, anxiety taking over.

Chunkz shakes his head, "Nah, bro I promise you don't need to worry about that. Kenny as a strict rule, he only goes for friends if he genuinely wants them. He wouldn't do that to you Sharks. But.."

"But what?"

"Just because he wants you doesn't mean he won't  do stuff with other people until you're at least talking."

Sharky nods biting his lip, as much as he hated the fact, he knew he couldn't be too upset as Kenny wasn't his.. yet, so he was fair game to whoever until then. 

Aj simply sat listening to the conversation, he didn't know whether to expose himself just yet to the boys. On one hand, they were his brothers, and they didn't seem to judge Sharky for liking a boy,  so he could say what him and Niko had done, right? On the other hand, he doesn't fully agree with the whole concept of liking a boy  he had always been taught against the thought. But hearing his brother, his best friend, liked a boy didn't spark any sort of resentment inside him, only the fact that he couldn't outright say it himself.

Chunkz finds its now the right time to ask Aj about what he'd seen that morning. Its important to keep in mind, Aj was still wearing Niko's hoodie, opting to put his bag in his room, before racing out to Chunkz's place, not giving himself any time to change after school. 

Aj is brought out of his thinking by Sharky chucking a pillow in his direction, "Oi!" he laughs, "Sorry, got lost in thought, what were you saying?"

"Aje, you wouldn't keep anything from us, would you?"

Aj shakes his head immediately, "No of course not."

"Do you... have you..." Chunkz begins, unsure how to phrase his question.

"Have I-... spit it out," he mocks.

"Do you like Niko." Chunkz rushes out.

Aj's eyes widen in shock, breath hitching slightly. "I- No. Why- that's just wrong- I- no."

"Aj." Chunkz simply says having Aj pauses his rant staring at Chunkz, "It's not."

"W-what's not?"

"Its not wrong for you to be gay." Chunkz says.

"Ew. I'm not gay."

Chunkz scrunches his nose at looks at Aj in some sort of disgust. He would never have thought AJ thought like this. However Aj was his brother, he had to at least give him a chance to explain himself. Sharky purses his lips, a small pit of regret unfolding at exposing his crush to Aj, now he had seen his views on the topic.
