!BLOOD!
Once the two got home, Seokjin demanded Namjoon left the room so he could try on his new dress. Namjoon stumbled out of the room in a laughing mess as Jin started throwing tiny fists when he first refused to leave his own room, but quickly shut the door. He grabbed a stray book and placed it under the door to jam it shut, just in case Seokjin tried wandering off.
Like Seokjin had requested earlier, Namjoon was wearing a blue shirt, just a simple button up. He went to the bathroom, feeling a little silly since he was getting all dressed up to have a tea party with some kid, but he also felt the unexplainable need to make Jin happy. Maybe it was his cute little smile, maybe it was the fact Namjoon wasn't sure what he was capable of, but he knew that he wanted to keep Seokjin content.
Namjoon fixed himself up in the mirror before heading back to his bedroom. He rapped on the door with his knuckles gently as to not startle Seokjin.
"Jinnie, may I come in?"
"Yes."
Namjoon pulled the book out from under the door before slipping into his bedroom. He had to restrain himself from just melting on the spot when he saw Jin sitting there at his desk, which he had cleared off and moved to the middle of Namjoon's bedroom with teacups and a teapot set up. Teddy sat on the bed, leaning against the table, while Jin sat on the floor, pouring fake tea for everyone.
Namjoon almost cooed when he saw Seokjin's new dress, his heartrate speeding up just a bit. It was a pastel pink babydoll dress with white frills on the edges, his narrow shoulders swallowed by the puffy sleeves. His slender legs were accessorized by white, satin ribbons wrapped around his calves and tea party shoes to match the colour of his dress, looking too innocent and cute for Namjoon's poor heart to handle. He listened as Jin made small whines with his pouty lips, tapping the table frantically.
"Would you like me to sit, Jinnie?"
"Yes, but not beside Teddy. He likes to have space when he drinks his tea."
"I see," Namjoon smiled, just playing along. He highly doubted that Teddy actually had preferences when it came to personal space, but he didn't feel like dealing with a tantrum so he just obeyed, sitting across from Seokjin. "Did you have fun shopping?"
"Oh yes, it was quite enjoyable," Jin said, as expected, in the dreamy tone he always used. While he proceeded to ramble about his little experience, Namjoon just gazed over at him. He moved so nimbly, pouring fake tea for everyone like it was his life's purpose, he did it with such determination that it was impressive (and adorable).
But another thing Namjoon realized for the millionth time was the fact that he was just so... frail. So small. Sometimes Namjoon thought that Seokjin would turn to dust if he poked him a little too hard. While Jin kept babbling away, Namjoon reached forward, he just needed to know if Jin was actually real or not...
He reached out, slowly and gently, and wrapped his fingers around Jin's arm.
Seokjin looked down at Namjoon's hand with pouty lips, confused. There were just some sprinkles and glitter in his head, nothing else.
Namjoon held Jin's wrist gently, as if he was holding a piece of glass, scared that he might break him by applying too much force. He tilted his head and studied the boy's arm thoroughly until he moved his own hand down, delicately locking it around Seokjin's wrist, very close to his palm.
Namjoon felt nothing. No pulse. Nothing.
"Seokjin?"
"Yes?"
"You're not real."
It was so silent, it was so painfully silent, Namjoon didn't know what to expect. Seokjin didn't look upset or anything, but knowing that the boy wasn't real... was he a robot? An actual doll? Namjoon was so confused and scared.
