Youjin the cautious and the symbiote

Chapter 8: Living with Venom

Youjin Kinoshita's POV

It had now been 2 weeks since I bonded with this symbiote called Venom, who I made a deal with to let him assist in my revenge. Venom explained he is from a race of symbiotes which originate from a planet called Klyntar.

At first Venom was eager to eat the people who betrayed him, but I wanted to go against it for now since if they were eaten then it would be justice served early but I prefer to make them regret it further.

Venom then proposed eating the ones who assaulted me, which would mean every single person in school. Which again I was against because not only would it not serve the justice I deserve but it would make me into a criminal and would lead to me being hunted down by the government because I have an alien connected to me.

But I had to find a way to repay him since he is helping me with giving me strength and power and is eager to assist my revenge. So I made a promise, the only people he could eat are people who commit crimes like robbery, murder or even worse.

Thankfully Venom has another choice when it comes to food, chocolate. Yes, it may sound crazy but Venom regularly eats chocolate since it is the prime source of phenethylamine which symbiotes of his kind love to eat. This had lead to my diet being mostly chocolate or anything with chocolate on the side for extra fuel for Venom, it may sound unhealthy but if it refrains Venom from eating me then I'll take it.

So far, living with him hasn't been too bad as he is fun to talk to and share stories. I see him as a friend almost, but being the cautious person I am I have to be careful since Venom is an alien and his kind are known for eating people so I had to make sure he won't go after people when I sleep. So everytime I wake up the next morning I check the drone footage to make sure he didn't disconnect from my body and go off and do his own thing at night, to which he surprisingly didn't, he kept his deal in the end.


As I woke up, I could smell something good coming into my room. Did Hayashi come into my room to cook my breakfast?

As I adjusted my vision I saw a pair of long black tentacles coming out from my back and reaching over at the stove in my apartment. I only knew one person who those tentacles would have belonged to...

...Venom.


"Good morning Youjin, did you rest well?" Venom asked from inside my head.

"Yea, it was surprisingly smooth. What are you up to Venom?" I answered as I got out of bed and walked over to the stove, carefully ducking under the tentacles so I wouldn't get tangled up in them.

"Well, since Hayashi san is not here this morning I decided to cook up some breakfast. The perfect meal for both of us, pancakes, bacon and chocolate sauce on the top. Great for getting all that energy in!" He answered enthusiastically.

As I took a closer look, he was indeed cooking 2 sets of pancakes but he was making a bit of a mess.

"Alright, but make sure you clean up alright?" I told him.

"Don't worry, I can get it all cleaned up in a flash." He answered while still cooking.

I sat down at my desk and opened my laptop again while Venom's tentacles coming out from my back continued cooking, it looked like it was out of a cartoon or something.

I began to work on my revenge plan with a video, what will this video be about? Well, you'll have to find out~

"Are you still working on your revenge plan?" Venom asked as I was lost in the zone for a bit while putting the video together.

"Huh, oh yea. It's gonna be the best revenge ever." I answered enthusiastically.

"If you say so." Venom responded. "You know I can just eat them or take them hostage and you can torture them-"

"And get chased by the government and labelled as a serial killer, which I prefer not to happen so we're gonna go with my way of revenge."

"Listen Venom, I have no problem with you sticking around, but if you do, we're gonna have to have some ground rules alright?"

"You cannot just go around eating anybody that you want to." I explained to Venom

"I can't?" Venom asked.

"No, you cannot. Alright, we need to reiterate this. There are good people in this world, a lot of them. And there are bad people. You have to tell the difference." I explained further to Venom.

"The deal is, you will only be allowed to touch, harm, hurt, possibly, very possibly, eat very, very bad people, but never, ever good people like Hayashi-san. All right?"

"Fine." Venom answered, seemingly he understood what I meant.

"Good." I responded while typing on the laptop.

"But what about those who betrayed them? Aren't they very, very bad people?" Venom asked out of curiosity.

"No, well sort of but they need to be kept alive for now as part of my revenge plan. Don't worry, you'll understand when I execute it."

"But for now we can stick to eating a sh*t tone of chocolate as replacements and if we ever see a bad person like a criminal or a robber I'll let you eat them alright?"

"Whatever you say."

"Anyway, breakfast is ready!"

Venom said as his 2 more tentacles came from my back and moved my chair to the table and the other 2 tentacles cooking returned with 2 plates.

The plates consisted of 3 pancakes on each one with bacon on the side and chocolate sauce.

I guess this is what happens when you let someone like Venom cook you breakfast.

"Itadakimasu!" We both said in unison as we dug into our food.




A FEW HOURS LATER.


I was still working on the revenge video on my laptop while Venom was supervising from inside my body.

After a moment of silence he decided to speak up.

"So what do you wanna do today Youjin? Are you going to stay inside working on this video or do you plan on going out for fresh air?" He asked out of curiosity.


"Actually, now that you remind me Venom. There is something I need to do."

"And what's that?" He asked, a bit curious.

"Well." I stood up from my chair and walked over to my wardrobe.

After digging through it for a bit, I pulled out my uniform from that hellish highschool. It was creased a bit and some blood stains on it, potentially from my nose after that attack President Susami ordered on me.

"Say Venom, have you ever experienced a campfire before?" I asked with a little grin.

"No, why do you ask?" He answered from my head.

"Well, we have a replacement for firewood, in my hands..." I said as I clenched my uniform a bit.

"You want to burn it?" Venom asked.

"Yup!" I answered in an enthusiastic tone.

"Since I quit highschool and I don't plan to return there ever, I guess there's no need for this uniform, it'll just be an everlasting scar if it stays with me." I said as I walked over to the counter, opening the draw to pull out a gas candle lighter.


"I like the way you think Youjin~" Venom said in my head.

After discussing it for a bit, we decided we could burn my uniform in the same forest I found Venom and bonded to him there. We planned to stop off at the convenience store on the way there to pick up some chocolate and marshmallows to make some smores to roast over the burning uniform.

We packed the uniform in my backpack, I picked up my sunglasses and hoodie and left the apartment room.

As we entered the lobby of the apartment, we saw Hayashi san in the office, looking a bit stressed.

"Hayashi san? Are you ok?" I asked, a bit concerned for her.

"Oh, Kinoshita-kun? Sorry, I'm alright, just a bit tired that's all." She answered with a weak smile.

"If you say so, just get some rest alright." I responded.

"I will, but where are you going?" She asked me.

"Oh, just for a walk, don't worry I have my sunglasses and mask so I'll hide my identity. I'll be safe, don't worry." I told her.

"Alright then, be safe Kinoshita-kun."

As Hayashi-san said this, I started to walk out of the apartment before walking past this tall guy in a suit. Was he a relative or friend of Hayashi-san or something? Oh well.

Before I left the building I heard a voice from behind.

"Your payment is due again, Hayashi-san." The guy said he pulled out a knife and pointed it at her from outside the office window, threatening her.

"Please, I can't keep doing this." She said, a bit panicked.

The guy raised the knife closer to her.

"Now." He said in a demanding tone.

I saw this happening, clearly he didn't see me since he was more focused on getting that money.

"Bad guy right?" Venom asked from inside my head.
