Chapter 7: An ally from another planet?

Youjin Kinoshita's POV


"AH!" I flinched as I turned behind me.

Who said that? And where did that come from? Was someone I formerly knew following me or something?

*"Kinoshita-kun?"* Hayashi-san asked me on the phone after letting out that noise.

"Uh, nothing! Just a bug that startled me, that's all! So yea, I'll make my own dinner tonight." I responded.

"Alright, see you then." Hayashi said before she hung up.

Once she hung up, I turned around to look and check if anybody was following me. Just where did that voice come from? Did someone whisper it to me? Or was it all in my head?

"Youjin..." The voice said again, this time I knew it came from my head because once I spun around again I saw nobody who could've said that to me. The voice was very deep, definitely wasn't someone I knew unless they were trying to scare me or something.

"Food..." The voice said yet again, this time saying something different.

I started to freak out a bit, I was really hearing a voice in my head. Was it my thoughts or something? No, because I never remember a voice in my head being that deep. 

I immediately ran back to the apartment, once I got to my room I immediately threw the plastic bag with the snacks on the floor, shut the door and locked it.

I caught my breath after running that fast while panicking, as I managed to catch myself I started to connect the dots. The muscular body, the appetite, my body moving on its own, and now the voice...

All of this started happening after encountering that asteroid, just what was in that debris field of the asteroid? Did it really cause all this to happen?

As I tried to figure that out once again, my body started moving towards the discarded bag that contained my purchases.

Before I could gain control again, my hands started reaching into the bag and started opening up the bars of chocolate and devouring them within seconds before moving onto the chips, ripping open the bag up and waffling them down again.

"What is going on!? Please stop! I don't want this!"

I kept saying as my mouth was being filled with food. Once I swallowed the chips, all of this was too much for me. My stomach started to feel a bit queasy and my head started to hurt.

I immediately ran to the bathroom, opened the lid to the toilet and threw up immensely. So many thoughts raced in my head, my body had changed a lot ever since discovering that asteroid...

After throwing up, I made my way over to my bathroom mirror and looked at it to see myself sweating intensely. Before I could gather my thoughts once again, something happened, something otherworldly...

My eyes became this odd white colour, with no pupils. I screamed and fell back into the bathtub from the shock.

Was I dreaming? I must be in a dream, no way this was real. Was I being possessed or something? As I darted out of the apartment into an alleyway, I sat down to catch my breath and collect my thoughts until...

He spoke again...

"Youjin..." The deep voice said in my head.

This time, I stood up and decided to try and respond to it.

"Who are you? Are you the one doing all this? The muscles? The height? The desire for food? And controlling my body? Just what even are you!?" I yelled out, I probably looked like a crazy guy talking to myself.

I had enough, I wanted to go to bed and sleep all off. I definitely must be in a dream.

"Yea, this is all one big dream, I'm gonna go wake up the next morning and everything will go back to nor-" I said to myself while walking back until I cut myself off when something caught my attention...

In the window reflection of a car parked in the alleyway, I saw something, something that clearly wasn't my reflection. But something otherworldly...

It had a muscular, black body that looked almost slimy, stretched white eyes with no pupils, sharp yellow teeth, and white veins stretching on areas of his body. Even weirder, when my mouth opened in shock a long tongue was revealed in the reflection.

I started touching my face to see if I was dreaming, I clearly wasn't, the reflection was following my body language and I could feel myself so this wasn't my imagination...

"You're not even here! You're just in my head, I'm just seeing things, because you're just a parasite!" I yelled at the reflection.

"PARASITE!?" The creature in the reflection said in a rather offended tone.

Before I could even respond I was pulled back against the wall in the alleyway, whatever pulled me to the wall came out of my back because I saw these black long tentacle things hold me back, clearly had something to do with the creature.

As I winced in pain a bit due to the impact, this gave me the wake up call that this was real. Whatever or whoever this is clearly isn't my imagination.

"Ok! Ok! I'm sorry I called you a parasite, but who are you!?" I yelled out in confusion before I was dropped from the wall. As I gained my footing again the voice or thing spoke.

"Let me show you..." It responded.

Before I could question, some black slimy stuff started forming around my body, I immediately panicked before it covered my whole body from head to toe.

After regaining my vision I saw that I had changed, I had become what was in my reflection. Slimy, tall, muscular and menacing with this ominous smile to it.

The black slimy material started to disintegrate as I returned back into my human form, being my normal self again.

As I stared in awe at the realization that the asteroid I encountered wasn't so normal after all. While I took this all in, the creature's head came out from behind my back in this sort of snake-like appearance with its head attached to whatever this black slimy stuff is.

"What the hell are you?" I asked in a low but shocked voice.

"I am Venom... and you are mine..." It responded, so it does have a name huh. Venom...

"You're the one who's been craving food huh?" I said as I tried to get more information about this creature it calls itself Venom.

"Fueling the tank." Venom responded. "Listen carefully Youjin, I can help you. I have seen your thoughts, the pain and suffering you went through to end up on your own except for that nice lady. Those drones you are using right now are very handy, they are like guardian angels..." Venom explained.

"How do you know about all that? About those girls that falsely accused me? And even my drones?" I asked, how the hell did this thing know about the trauma I went through?

"I know everything Youjin, everything about you, I am inside your head, I saw those memories when I bonded to you..." Venom responded.

He read my mind? So he can turn me into this giant alien thing, give me muscles along with extra height and an appetite and now read my thoughts? What else can he do?

"How do you want to help me?" I asked, a bit intrigued by him wanting to help me instead of killing me.

"Simple, you seemed to be planning to use the footage you captured to help clear your name. But I can help you by giving you more strength, assisting you in case anyone tries to beat you up again. I can even eat those people who betrayed you." Venom explained.

My eyes widened, I know he seems to have an appetite for eating but I thought it was for food only. Well, he is an alien after all so he probably ate living things from wherever he came from I assumed.

"But in return, you have to lend me your body. I have to stay attached to it even after your revenge, we can become strong together, powerful, show the ones who looked down on you what you really are..." Venom added. "Do we have a deal?"

I thought about it for a bit. Revenge? With an alien? He seems dangerous, but I want to show my strength to those who betrayed me so even if its at risk of being killed or eaten by this slimy son of a gun then I'll do it!

"Deal..." I answered with a smirk.


This revenge just got a whole lot more interesting, you better watch out traitors because this'll be the most hellish payback you'll ever see!
