CASSANDRA'S POV

It's ok, baby.  None of that is ever going to happen. I will protect you and my mum. I promise, he says.  

Promise?  

Promise, he says.   

Can we go back to sleep now?, he ask.  

Yeah but let us cuddle, I say shaking.  

Sure, but why are you shaking?, he ask. 

Am cold and scared at the same time, I say.  

Ok let's cuddle. My body heat might warm you up, he says.  

We both cuddle on the bed. 

Goodnight sweetheart, he says and turns off the lamp.  

Goodnight my love, I say and close my eyes. 

five minutes later, I fall asleep in Miguel arms.

Do you like the movie?, Miguel ask me.  

Like?. I love the movie.  It's amazing, I say smiling.  

Am so happy right now.  

Miguel decided to take me to the movie theater to watch a movie. 

I got really excited when he told me.  I love watching movies.  

We had to be careful when coming out from the hotel because you know my dad is trying to kill us.  

My mum is a drug addict and none of my family members likes me.  

Yeah I have a very lovely family.  Note the sarcasm.  

After watching the movie.   We both decide to trek home.   We both hold each other's hand as we trek home.  

Miguel begins to shake beside me.  

Miguel what's wrong?. Why are you shaking?, I ask him.  

It's nothing.  Am just nervous, he says.  

Ice cream, I say pointing to the ice cream van.   

Do you want ice cream?.  I can get it for you, he says.  

Yeah I want ice cream, I say licking my lips.  

Ok, he says and drags me to the ice cream van.  

After buying some ice cream.    We continue our trip to the hotel.   

Hmmm this vanilla ice cream tastes delicious, I say.  

Yeah it does, he says smiling and staring at me.   I blush.   Stop staring at me like that, I say smiling.

I can't help it.   Your dark skin is just so gorgeous. You look delicious in that mini skirt, he says.  

Your so silly, I say smiling.  

So what did you wanna tell me?, I ask.  

Hmmm, he hummed.  

You wanted to tell me something minutes ago after I asked why you were shaking, I say.   

Oh that.  Let's finish our ice cream first then I will tell you, he says.  

Ok, I say and continue licking my ice cream.

We decide to sit at a park near the hotel where we stay.  

Baby, Miguel says.   

Yeah, I say. 

He stands up from the seat.  

Kneels on one knee and brings out a ring from his right pocket.  

Oh my God, I whimper yell.  

My love will you marry me?.   Please be my wife, please be my love forever more, he says raising the ring with a smile on his face.  

My God, baby.    Yes!, Yes!, Yes!, I will marry you, I yell attracting other people's attention to us.    

Yes!. You said yes, he yells happily.   He puts the ring on one of my fingers.   
Gosh, it's beautiful, I say admiring the ring.
