To The Moon...

Ever look at the moon with wide eyes and try to reach it? That is what Cres, a new neko did. Every night she would sit on the roof of her hut and wish upon the night sky that she could visit the moon. Her mother watched with her for many years until she disappeared one day when hunting near the forrest which housed a greatly worshipped temple by the people of Galuna Island. Cres was alone with the moon to watch over her. That was many years ago, but finally on the day of her 17th birthday, the anniversary of the disapperance of her mom caused her to go into the woods to get herself a birthday treat. It was getting late and there was no end to the tall trees in sight, giving up on walking, Cres climbed into the trees to search for the smoke of her tribes fire. No doubt could she climb but it was a difficult task ahead to search far on the dark, lucky she was, for the moon was on her side. Its light was powerful and it showed her the way. Curiosity killed the cat she said to herself when staring at her friend in the sky when she saw a pillar of light aimed at the circle, she mist investigate her heart said but her mind told her otherwise. No the moon was the only one who was there for her, anyone to hurt it was to die by her hands she decided and she turned around and ran to the beam, she was going to the moon. She ran fast, she must not let the person or people near the moon, her heart led her when she quickened the pace and she reached the destination, a pyramid shaped temple, one which shouldn't be entered unless you've come to worship. She sure as he'll knew the people who made the beam weren't there to give offerings so inside she went to stop them.
As she stepped into the sacred area she missed a giant hole in the floors and fell far into a cavern-ish place underneath the temple. Struggling to compose herself with her head spinning she failed to notice the sound of yelling and people running at her with, wait is he holding fire?!? Not knowing what to do she stood in a fighting stance and prepared to block any attacks. Eyes shut her claws grew and she swiped at the being coming to get her. She didn't know how to react the noise of the person startled her and when she realized she could feel someone tackle her and the ground coming into contact with her back did she open her eyes to be met with the large black ones of a boy about her age pinning her to the ground, the way he strattled her hips caused a huge rise of heat to her cheeks. Struggling to get free, her mind went into cat instinct and felt no one holding her feet, legs and feet quickly moving onto his chest and large force kicking him off her with a ray of blinding light when she did this, so surprised she ran and dove behind a rock to collect her thoughts in peace. All this action distracted Cres from seeing a giant monster in a pool of water, the only thing seperating it from her was a shield of this ice, creating a cocoon for the beast. The beast scared her but observing it more she realized that the beam of light was shining down on it. The pieces finally clicked after the ice melted more and she knew that the beam wasn't made to attack to moon, the moon was used to melt the ice. The horror flickered in her eyes as she continued to plan on what to do until there was a cold hand on her shoulder causing her to move away from her hiding spot and further toward the pool of water.
"Get away-" Her screaming cut off by a hand over her mouth and a boy with dark icey blue hair looked down at her.
"Shhh!" The boy said then whispered into her ear. "I don't know who you are but we aren't here to hurt you unless you are the one causing the shell to melt. Listen I am Grey, the pyro you fought earlier is Natsu, we are from Fairytail so if I let you go, don't scream... okay?" Cres nodded her head and Grey removed his hand. "First of all, who are you and why are you here?" He quietly asked.
"I am Cres, an inhabitant of this island, I came to see why there is a freaking beam of light connecting to my moon. I see now... " She trailed off. "Listen I have to go stop whatever is going to melt that ice, you guys can stay here but I need to save my island." He nodded and continued.
"We were called here to stop that moon from turning your people into demons, this is just a side quest. We can help anyway possible, I'm not going to stop you so if you could, could you maybe help us since you know this land?"
"If stopping this means helping you, I'll do what I can." Suddenly the boy Cres fought with earlier tapped on her arm.
"Great well you should meet all of us then!" I put my finger over his lips to get him to quiet down, he stared and nodded Some pink on his cheeks. He brought his friends over, a blue flying cat and a blonde girl carrying multiple keys on her belt. Something was strange about her, I didn't like the blonde. "Alright first we have Lucy, she uses holder magic!" Lucy, stared at me and waved, I gave a slight growl so only she could hear it. "And this is Happy!" I walked over to the cat and pet him then walked away.
"Can we hurry this up we need to go stop them! This is Cres and now everyone knows each other, okay? Okay let's go." He grabbed my hand and started running, I was surprised and felt the feeling of when Natsu held me down, I was blushing and Grey was, what's the word, attractive, both of them were.
We continued running with the others behind us when we rushed to the top of the temple only to see a cult of people using magic to channel the moon light onto the ice and melt it. She didn't think and ran straight at one with claws out, ripping off his helmet which his his face to reveal another boy with white tinted spikey hair who was alarmed but soon recovered from shock and created a magic circle and some sort of ice magic. Again the cat instincts controlled Cres as a blinding light circled her body, the rays of the moon charged the cat as she shot whatever power she had at the ice mage and all the others who dressed in robes. Unable to see what was done, all that was seen was white light and a body loosing energy, as soon as her eyes got used to the light and she pushed against whatever forced the power out. Finally the glow disappeared and so did Natsu and Grey who we're already fighting with the other cult members.
The battle waged on, Grey was defeated which caused Cres to find her village and carry Grey back with Natsu's help. Multiple events happened with separate battles and everyone facing an enemy, Cres of course was pitted against a mutt who lost to the strange magic of the moon. When everyone regrouped Cres ran into Erza, a very powerful mage who handled requip magic, such power Cres thought as she dared to try and break the moon... HER MOON, HOW DARE SHE TRY! Cres ran in front of Erza, begging her to not harm the moon, she couldn't let it be harmed, she could barely remember her life with her mother, her father wasn't there. It was to one to save her and watch her in her time of need. It gave her this power. She wouldn't let it fall. But as much as she fought and protested Erza had made her mind and wouldn't change it. Erza used her requip magic and had spear in hand, Natsu was called over to use his dragon slayer magic to boost the spear to the moon.
"Please. If you are going to break my moon, it will be by my hands, I won't let you do it..." Erza stared at Cres but did not protest. She would have too use moon magic to destroy her best friend. In a ready stance, power was summoned, using the moon as a guide she felt the warmth of the light trickle all around and her own beam of light shoot towards the moon, she shut her eyes not able to look at the destruction but heard cracking and finally looked up to see not a shattered moon floating in the sky but crystallized magic layer that broke due to forced impact. The people of the village celebrated and memories flooded back into her mind of family and what she was. A true village mage who never left the island, with a dream to join a guild and use her power, moon dragon slayer magic. She remembered her mother a neko who abandoned her when young, she created a story about her mother just to convince herself that she had one when her dragon left her in the village. She never knew her family. She couldn't stay in the viage any longer, she said goodbye to all in her tribe and was stopped at the gate by Grey.
"Hey, umm thanks for saving me back there after my loss by Lyon. Listen you said you were a dragon slayer, right? Well we're always looking for new members in our guild and if you want to join. You're welcome to come with me..." He said all this with pink dusting his cheeks.
"You know I was looking for a guild, this will be perfect! Thank you so much for helping my village and inviting me."
"S-so you'll join? Awesome!" Another voice said as Natsu pushed Grey off to the side, he did his signature smile. "Well, welcome to Fairytail!"
