Welcome back guys and gays! I'm so glad you all waited for this story and I hope I can meet your expectations. It's gonna be hard to come back after such a long time because I haven't really been writing lately but I hope it'll come back to me. Hope the new cover didn't confuse you much. New season requires a new cover folks xd

Also be warned that there are gonna be a lot of time skips because I only focus on Vi and Caitlyn's story part, which us quite shorter in season 2, so please just bear with me.

I cried the whole time I was watching season 2 btw so I'm sorry if writing this will take me a while. I can only shed so many tears at once xd

Y/N's P.O.V

-"Vi....I love you." As soon as those words left my mouth the rocket hit the council hall. We all watched in horror while the air got filled with more and more screams of people that witnessed it. My eyes met with Powder's. Tears were running down her cheeks but her face was stone cold. Our gaze stopped only when she jumped down from the building. -"NO!" Cait ran to the edge but she was too late to catch her. Powder dissapeared in the streets below. -"Cait..." I spoke softly. I tried to get up but my legs gave up. My whole body started getting colder and my eyelids heavier. -"Y/N!" Vi kneeled down to me and checked the wound on my stomach.

-"We need to get her somewhere safe, she's bleeding out!" She said, her voice filled with worry. I looked down at my hand which was trembling and covered with my blood. -"CAITLYN!" Vi yelled. It wasn't long until I saw my best friend at my side. She tore her skirt to make a bandage. Together with Vi they bandaged the wound but it soaked within seconds. All the voices after that were muffled. My vision blurred. All I felt were two hands picking me up. Then I passed out.

My body was screaming, not letting me go. I forced my eyes open again. I was in Vi's arms. She was running through the streets. Cait was beside her telling her where to go while keeping an eye on me. -"You're gonna be okay!" She said. -"Vi..." I tried to speak but my mouth couldn't form the words. -"AAAAHHR!" Suddenly Vi screamed in pain and kneeled down but she never dropped me. Only now I noticed my arm was burning through her jacket. With another scream she got up. Not caring about the obvious burns. -"I've got you, Match, and I'm not letting you go! Not this time... Just hold on." Cold ran over my body and I could feel myself drifting away again. Only the warmth of my own blood and Vi's body was keeping me going.

—few years earlier—

My body hit the cold stone ground but I got up and kept running anyway. -"You can't run from me you fucking thief!" I heard the man's voice following me, he was getting closer. I ran through alley after alley trying to loose him but he was catching up. I knew it was over when I ran into a dead end. The man soon followed. -"Finally! I'm sick of you kids getting away with everything! I'm gonna teach you a lesson you'll never forget." He said and started walking towards me. I scanned the wall infront of me but it was too high for me to climb. I turned back to the man as he slowly walked towards me. He left me no openning to run past him. I guess this is really it...

-"Hey, buttface!" Suddenly I heard a voice from above. When I looked up there was a kid that threw a stone at the man. He was slim with very messy hair but his face showed no sign of fear. He threw another stone and the man growled as he ran towards me. -"Grab on!" I heard another voice. A pink haired girl was offering me her hand and I wasted no second grabbing it. She began pulling me up but the man grabbed my foot. I kicked his face hard and heard a crack. -"Ooh! Nice!" The girl said. Then he let me go, holding his nose which was bleeding heavily. -"Fuck! You're gonna pay for this you little shits!" He angrily kicked some cans but walked away eventually. I was too busy laughing on the ground to hear what he mumbled afterwards.
