meeting

i am so excited for this book omg
the chapter names will just be one word bc i think its cute lol, im not gonna bore u with me talking so just a few more things; yes theres lashton, this chapter may not be too exciting but it gets better, i dont know a lot about hospitals/diseases etc so pls dont get offended :-) ANYWAY

i walked around the counter of one of the desk workers mini office and pulled a chair out then plopped down onto it.

"so hows it goin' bud?"

"oh, i just got a call from an upset mother, her son is very sick and they should be in very soon, about half an hour, like 3:00 or so."

"well, did she tell what was happening to him? what he might be sick with?"

he stopped typing then looked down and then turned to me, "all the problems she told me, are symptoms of cancer."

my eyes widened a bit and i sighed.

"welp, i better get down to the cafeteria before they arrive."

i quickly pushed my chair back and started my way to the cafeteria, i hoped the kid just had a really bad case of the flu or something because no one deserves the pain and torture that comes with cancer.

~ michael *flashback to 5 days earlier*

i felt like something was eating my insides away, for the past few days i hadn't had much of an appetite like i usually do, i think ive lost a few pounds, ive been vomiting and getting these awful headaches.

my mom walked in and felt my forehead, "i made you some ramen noodles, they're your favorite flavor, beef." she winked then smiled and sat next to me. i thanked her and she asked, "are you feeling any better?"

"no, i feel like im getting sicker everyday, the headaches ive been getting are the worst."

she frowned and patted my leg.

"but these noodles are delicious." i smiled and took a big bite off my fork.

she smiled at me, kissed my forehead and got up and telling me 'i love you' on her way out.

once she shut the door i waited a few seconds before sitting up and grabbing the trash can from the side of my bed and throwing up. her ramen noodles were amazing dont get me wrong but i couldn't eat anything without immediately regretting it and vomiting. something was seriously wrong with me and im terrified.

~ calum *back to the present*

i was throwing away my trash from lunch as i heard my name over the intercom.

"doctor hood, you're needed at the main office."

it beeped once more and i started fast walking to the offices.

once i arrived i saw a kid about 19-20 with dyed hair and what i assumed was his mother sitting next to him.

ashton walked from around the corner and nudged me, "thats him, michael clifford."

i nodded and took the clipboard with all the questions to fill out from ashtons hands, thanking him.

i walked over to the two and smiled and stuck my hand out

"hi michael, im your doctor for this evening. its doctor hood but you can call me calum"

i winked at him and him and told them to follow me but my face quickly softened when i saw him struggle to get up and his mom having to help him down the hall. i swallowed a lump in my throat and looked at the tiled floors i was walking on.

THERE WAS CHAPTER ONE AND IT WAS SHORT IM SORRY I JUST HAD TO WRITE SOMETHING TO GET IT GOING.

so ashton and calum are best friends :-) luke will come in the story later, srry if this was boring
