Dangerous

Since we met Lana, me and Ky would sneak out almost every Friday night to go and see her.She was taking care of us, it felt like finally things starts to change for the better.Lucky us,that night was a false alarm, no one knew we've been out and about the whole night.
Finally in a warm house,with food, it was a delight for both of us.The three of us would stay chatting , Lana becoming quickly a great friend and also our way to escape the system,our place where nothing bad could happen.
"So what do you think about the soup,girls?" Smiling, her calm voice filling The silence in the room. Me and Ky were to busy enjoying our meal, so we just nodded as a sign of approval.
"Madison,I wanna talk to you about something,when you done." Her face becoming more serious.
"What,why? What did I do?" Curious asking, having no clue why she got all serios ,so quickly
"Madison,I just wanna have a word with you,calm down".
She turned around ,heading towards the spare room. I heard the door closing,feeling goosebumps thru my body.
"What was that?" Kilye asked, her brow slightly raised.
"I have no clue,did you do something?"
"Me?Oh..I see. No,Maddy,you don't get to blame me.You the one who got into trouble" she said wiggling her browns,smiling,probably satisfied that someone else gets blamed instead of her.
"I haven't done anything, what are you talking about?" Giving her the side eye.
"Aw, miss "I m perfect,sweet like honey, never get into trouble.com". Don't get me wrong,sometimes I do question our friendship, and yes,she likes to annoy me quite a lot.
"Shut up! Why am I even friends with you?" Rolling my eyes, I smile.
Minutes later, we cleaned up so I headed towards the room where Lana is.I have never felt that weakness before, something telling me to not enter.
Lana was already waiting for me
"Take a seat,my child.."
"Okay..what's going on?" I said all confused,shaking a bit.
"Madison,try to calm down. You have to trust me in this.There's things I haven't told you, I guess you deserve to know more about your family,about Evans ,about your mother."
"Continue.." i said cracking my voice.
"Madison,the reason you are here, is your destiny. I knew you mother , I was her friend.You see.. the world hasn't been like this before,me and your mom grew up different, but as soon as the manipulation started, the system managed to change brains,slowly getting enough power to control people. "The paradise " wsd the place your mom was looking for ,is the only remaining community that havent changed , people went far away,running,united,so the system couldn't do anything. That is where you have to go for help, there are the only ones that can stop the madness.And you are the only one able to convince them"
"What?..why..?" At this point, i can barely get out words.
"Madison,those people are smart. You have to convince them to help the others, otherwise they won't gonna do it. Someone has to save the world,to stop the catastrophe. People deserve their freedom."
With a blind look , I tried not to get everything mixed up
"That's not gonna happen.Is just a legend.I can't do it "
"Remember the notebook I gave you?"
"Yes..why?"
"That notebook has the key to your answers. Use it, soon,you'll find out that everything happens for a reason"
I nodded, slowly turning to the door.
"And Madison?" I can tell she s smiling
"Yea?" I said,As I turn to face her
"Megan would be so proud. You turned into such a beautiful woman,powerful,just how she was. "
I smile, being polite
"As mother,as daughter."

I was determined to find out that place. Lana made it seems like that was my mom's wish, and so I am willing to try to fulfill it. No matter what.
How can I do it when I don't even know where to start? I hope that notebook does have something to help..
